No. 3 Shore 12 No. 10 Toms River East 7

Senior Gabby O’Brien scored 5 goals and sophomore Ava Matthews sank 4 goals to lead the Blue Devils (12-4) past the Raiders (8-5) in a match-up of top ten teams. The Blue Devils jumped out to a 5-0 lead at the end of the 1st quarter and held steady the rest of the way. Senior Teagan Harmon scored a goal and distributed 2 assists. Seniors Kendall Bennett and Jasmin Okuszka both registered a goal and an assist. Senior goalie Sofia Merten stopped 6 shots in the victory for the Blue Devils.

Junior Allison Momm scored 4 goals in the loss for the Raiders. Momm surpassed 100 career points on her third goal of the evening. Sophomore Libby Dickman sank 2 shots. Freshman Charlotte Standfast added a goal and an assist. Sophomore Kacey Briles tallied 2 assists while freshman Ciley Francis tallied 1 assist.

No. 8 Central 13, St. John Vianney 2

A pair of hat tricks from senior RyAnn Dunn and freshman Addison Frulio helped guide the Golden Eagles (10-5) in their win over the Lancers (9-4). Senior Angelina Forney and sophomore Emma Boturla both forced 3 turnovers in a strong defensive effort. Senior Samantha DeMarco scored 2 goals. Senior Mia Treney added a goal and an assist. Seniors Giana Demasi and Jenna Robinson as well as junior Claudia Scarpitti and freshman Maren Hess each scored a goal in the victory.

 

Nonconference

Old Bridge 8, No. 5 Middletown South 7

The Eagles (9-5) led 6-4 heading into the 4th quarter where they were outscored 3-1 before succumbing to a loss in overtime to the Knights (12-2). Senior Caroline Bedetti scored a game-high 4 goals in the loss. Juniors Abigail Gallagher and Anna Stumberger both scored a goal and tallied an assist. Freshman Ashley Penn also scored a goal while sophomore Hayley Jamison tallied an assist. Senior goalie Anna Weise made 6 saves.

Holmdel 8, North Brunswick 7

Junior Avery Granata exploded for a career-high 5 goals and tallied an assist to lead the Hornets (5-7) past the Raiders (8-7). Freshman Ryann Buchan added a goal and 2 assists. Senior Ava Munafo and sophomore Charlotte Wall both scored a goal and distributed an assist. Freshman Maeve Flaherty scored her first career goal. Senior Claudia Diaz tallied an assist.
