Senior Alex Perez scored the first goal of the game and set up sophomore Cole McMenamy’s first varsity goal to cap the scoring in the second half of a Bucs (4-2) rivalry win over the Caseys (4-2).
Perez knocked in the icebreaker off a cross from sophomore Antonio Perez and sophomore Connor Roseland added to the Red Bank lead with a goal before halftime.
No. 1 CBA 6, Central 0
Senior Justin Arias assisted a goal by junior Brady O’Connor and scored twice during a five-goal second half for CBA as the Colts (6-2-1) raced past the Golden Eagles (0-6).
O’Connor’s goal opened the scoring in the 19th minute and stood as the lone goal of the first half. Senior Alex Alvarez pushed the lead to 2-0 by heading in a cross from classmate Liam Wheeler in the 47th minute. Arias delivered his first goal on an 18-yard strike in the 51st minute and tacked on a penalty kick in the 57th to extend the CBA lead to 4-0.
Senior Christian King made it 5-0 by finishing a through-ball from junior Jack MacDonald in the 65th minute and junior Roger Macky ended the game with a goal that came one minute later.
Group 2
Jackson 2, Matawan 1
Junior Anthony Materia and freshman Mason Monday both scored in the final eight minutes of the half and the Jaguars (5-0-3) held on to edge the Huskies (4-1-1) in a clash of unbeaten teams heading into Saturday.
Materia opened the scoring in the 33rd minute and in the 39th, Monday added to the lead with a finish off a feed from sophomore Caiden D’Souza. Senior Nicco Romero cut the Jackson lead in half with a goal in the 42nd minute, but Matawan could not break through for the equalizer against Jaguars senior goalkeeper Logan Schenk.
No. 2 Freehold Township 4, Southern 1
Junior Chase Melcher scored a goal in each half and the Patriots (6-1-1) pulled away to beat the Rams (2-2-2) on the road.
Junior Eric Rjahovski opened the scoring for Freehold Township and Melcher bumped the lead to 2-0 with his first goal. Southern cut its deficit in half on a goal by senior David Reyes to go into halftime down a goal.
Junior Christian Blanco provided some breathing room with a goal off a pass from sophomore Sean McGuinness and Melcher put the game on ice with his second goal of the match.

No. 5 Toms River East 7, Barnegat 0
Senior Malcolm Smith scored two goals to lead a scoring barrage that carried the Raiders (5-0) to a convincing win over the Bengals (6-1) in a match-up of two teams with perfect records heading into Saturday.
Senior Sam Los, junior Vincenzo Nasuta and junior Brennan Hutton each posted a goal and an assist and sophomore Jack Gillen set up three goals with assists. Junior Brady Gillen and sophomore Niko Pedalino each added a goal as well for Toms River East.
Lacey 2, Raritan 0
Sophomore Tristan DeRosa scored two goals within a span of eight minutes of the first half and the Lions (4-3-1) and senior goalkeeper Dylan Graham polished off a shutout win over the Rockets (1-5).
DeRosa hammered home a cross from junior Paul Guerriero in the ninth minute and buried a free kick in the 17th to account for the final goal of the match.
Group 4
No. 4 Manalapan 7, Long Branch 1
Senior Ryan Seybuck went off for a career-best four goals and junior Jake Ramella tacked on two as the Braves (5-0-1) handled the Green Wave (3-6). Senior Gavin Halcomb handed out three assists and senior Aiden Blumenfeld contributed a goal in the win.

Freehold Boro 4, Brick Memorial 1
Senior Izaak Dabby scored two goals and the Colonials (5-1) pulled away for their fifth straight win, this time over the Mustangs (0-5-1) in a rematch of a first-round NJSIAA Tournament game from a year ago, won by Brick Memorial.
Juniors Ryan Almeida and Jaydan Aziz scored seven minutes apart during the first half to give Freehold Boro a 2-0 lead, with seniors Humberto Hernandez and Noah Sharon supplying the assists.
Junior Noah Dias cut into the Freehold lead with a goal four minutes into the second half and pushed for the equalizer before Dabby scored in the 65th for the first of his two insurance goals. Senior Christian Cuautle found Dabby in the 76th minute for his second goal.
No. 3 Marlboro 6, St. Rose 0
Senior Jayden Hegt scored two goals to lead the Marlboro scoring avalanche as the Mustangs (3-2-1) coasted to a win over the Purple Roses (1-5-1). Seniors Ethan LaRock and Nick Hramyka each added a goal and an assist and Andrew Freid and Joey DellaPenna contributed a goal apiece. Senior Vladimir Anokhin also dished out two assists in the win.
Rumson-Fair Haven 5, Pinelands 0
Senior Cristian Santos and sophomore Leeam Goldstein each scored two goals and Goldstein threw in an assist to lead a one-sided Bulldogs (4-2-1) win over the Wildcats (0-8).
Santos scored in the sixth minute and broke through for Rumson’s second goal in the 47th minute. Junior Nate Zerillo extended the lead to 3-0 with a goal in the 60th minute before Goldstein put the game on ice with two goals after the onset of the 70th minute.
Group 7
Neptune 6, Lakewood 0
Sophomore Tevenerri Verdieu delivered a hat trick to go with an assist and the Scarlet Fliers barreled their way to a win over the Piners. Junior D.J. Green and senior Hunter Reynolds each added a goal and an assist and senior C.J. Hankins accounted for the other Neptune goal. Senior Dominic O’Neill also dealt out two assists in the win.
No. 9 Middletown South 2, Wall 0
Seniors Jake Mattes and Connor Saul both scored a goal and the Eagles (3-3) outmatched the Crimson Knights (2-4-1).
Group 8
Howell 4, Manchester 0
Senior Marc Gaudious scored 30 seconds before halftime to break a scoreless deadlock and the Rebels (7-0) pulled away for a win over the Hawks (2-5-1) thanks to three goals in the second half.
Junior James Cantagallo, senior Andrew Holmes and junior Tom Beurskens each scored in the second half to stretch the lead.
Shore 6, Keyport 0
Senior Sean O’Rourke kicked off a big game for himself by nailing an Olimpico on a corner kick and went on to finish with two goals and an assist to lead the Blue Devils (3-1-1) over the Red Raiders (0-7).
Senior Silvio Pessoa scored within a minute of O’Rourke’s Olimpico in the 11th minute to make it 2-0 and O’Rourke scored again in the 12th minute off a pass from sophomore Gavin Cavanaugh to make it 3-0.
Senior Shane Sullivan scored off a feed from O’Rourke in the 21st minute and junior Thomas Pragosa capped the scoring in the 30th off a pass from classmate Ryan Cregle.

Point Boro 3, North Brunswick 2
Junior Jameson Mahon scored the first two of Point Boro’s three goals in the first half and assisted the last to spark the Panthers (2-5) to a win over the Raiders (0-8).
Mahon cracked open the scoring with a goal in the second minute off an assist from fellow junior Ben Scott and struck again in the eighth minute after taking a pass from senior Ryan Helm. Junior Caleb Losa finished off the scoring in the 20th minute off Mahon’s assist.
