Senior Shane Landau stole a loose ball and scored the winning goal in the 36th minute and the Colts (7-2-1) held the Patriots (6-3-1) off the board in the second half to reel in the victory over a top-five ranked team.

With under five minutes to play in the first half, Freehold Township attempted to work the ball out of the back, but a miscommunication allowed Landau to pounced on a loose ball and rip it into the open net.
