Senior Kyle Winig scored the equalizer in the 60th minute for Rumson to counter an earlier goal by sophomore Zac Levine in the 43rd minute and the Bulldogs (0-1-1, 0-0-1) and Panthers (0-0-1, 0-0-1) settled for a draw in the division opener for both teams.
Levin took a pass from classmate Miles Serrapica and buried a 30-yard strike to open the scoring for Ranney. Rumson countered in the 60th, when sophomore Winston Jeffriss slipped a through-ball to Winig, who finished the breakaway.
Rumson freshman Soren DeBruyn cleared the ball off the end-line to prevent the game-winner and goalkeeper Jack Rodriguez made seven saves while playing the second half in the overtime after Brody Carr played the first half for the Bulldogs.

The Big Blue scored the first six goals before senior Pedro Navroski converted a penalty kick to extend the game, but the Cougars (0-2) could not dig out of the massive hole in a road loss to Pingry (1-0).
Navroski’s penalty kick came 59:59 into the match, which left Pingry one second from winning via the mercy rule. After Navroski extended the game, Colts Neck earned another penalty kick and senior Sean Moore buried it for his first goal of the season and 81st of his career.
