No. 1 Toms River South 4, Toms River North 2
Junior Daniella Gordon continues to cause problems for opposing defenders, scoring two more goals to lead TRS (5-0) over crosstown rival TRN (3-2). The Indians scored three first-half goals with Emma Turnbach scoring a goal and assisting on two others. Senior Jaelyn Mayne also scored her third goal of the season.
Ocean 1, Shore 0
Senior Mia Fiorentino scored her seventh goal of the season to give Ocean (6-0) three points in SCT Pod 1 and remain undefeated on the season. Senior Erin Toppi had her fourth assist on the season for the Spartans. Sophomore Taylor Scotto made six saves to earn the shutout.
Group 2
Toms River East 6, Barnegat 0
Sophomore Mia Storch tallied a goal and two assists, as the Raiders (3-1) blanked the Bengals (1-3-1). Seniors Kacey Briles and Zelle Dworzanski, junior Brooklyn Chin, sophomore Sophia Badgley, and freshman Samantha Maresca also each added a goal. Senior Megan Clements and freshman Lily Gambarony each recorded an assist. Junior Emma Mastriano and sophomore Maddie Moore both made two saves.
Group 3
No. 3 Central 4, Manchester 0
Four different players scored, as the Golden Eagles (5-1) blanked the Hawks (2-3-1). Seniors Brianna Daly and Logan Lisewski, sophomore Sophia Bruno, and freshman Annie Napolitano each tallied a goal. Senior Leah DiCillo, junior Sophia Napolitano, and freshman Madeline King each recorded an assist. Junior goalie Gianna Lawrence made one save in the shutout.
Group 4
Holmdel 2, Neptune 0
Middletown South 2, No. 8 Manasquan 1
Junior Riley Kapler and sophomore Abigail Plantamura each scored a second half goal, as the Eagles (3-2) rallied to defeat the Warriors (3-3). Junior Lili Iasparro recorded an assist. Junior goalie Julianna Fiore made two saves.
Junior goalie Madeline Petrulla registered 16 saves in the loss.
Group 5
Red Bank 3, Lacey 0
Red Bank (5-3) scored two first-half goals and added an insurance goal in the second-half to beat Lacey (0-6) and pick-up their first three points in SCT Pod 5. Junior Yaretzi Linares-Ortega scored 20 minutes into the game and Rose Lynch scored three minutes later to give the Bucs a 2-0 lead at halftime. Ava Furlong scored her third goal of the season in the second-half. Junior Casey Miranda made five saves to earn the shutout.
Group 6
Ranney 6, Pinelands 0
Sophomore Mary Cate Leidersdorff scored five goals to lead Ranney (3-1) over Pinelands (1-3-2) to win their second SCT Group 6 game. Nicole Tackett scored off Leidersdorff assist in the first-half for Ranney.
No. 4 Rumson-Fair Haven 4, Middletown North 3 (OT)
Rumson (4-0) won a thriller in a battle of unbeatens with a 4-3 overtime win against Middletown North (4-1). Duke commit Jordyn Sullivan scored the golden goal in the 84th minute to finish the game with a hat trick. Sullivan also became Rumson’s all-time leading scorer in the game. Senior Summer O’Malley scored of a Sullivan assist in the 58th minute for the Bulldogs.
Sophomore Peyton Kulka scored in the 68th and 78th minute to tie the game for the Lions. Senior Sofia Chaknis scored the game’s first goal in the 5th minute.
Group 7
St. Rose 2, Donovan Catholic 1
Junior Kelsey Nitche scored the game winner with 13:50 left in regulation to give St. Rose (5-1) their first win in SCT Pod 7 and earn three points. Sophomore Cassidy Peluso scored the game’s first goal in the first-half to put St. Rose up 1-0 over Donovan (3-3).
Sophomore Elle Forlenza scored her fourth goal of the season in the 50th minute to tie the game for the Griffins.
No. 2 Red Bank Catholic 6, Point Beach 0
Senior Nina Bicej netted her first career hat trick, as the Caseys (5-0) blanked the Garnet Gulls (1-4-1). Senior Mia Cupo finished with two goals. Senior Tina Mojares added a goal and an assist. Senior Sam Mierzwiak and juniors Bryelle Shaheen, Izzy Fasano, and Lexi Sinatra each recorded an assist.
Group 8
Brick 5, Long Branch 2
Brick (2-5) scored three first-half goals to beat Long Branch (2-6) and earn their first three points in SCT Pod 8. Freshman Saoirse Connolly scored two goals and had an assist and junior Olivia Dolan added a goal and had two assists for the Dragons.
No. 5 Point Boro 2, Marlboro 1 (2 OT)
Junior Megan Viggiano scored a golden goal off a pass from Maddie O’Connor to give Point Boro (4-1) three more points as they improve to 2-0 in SCT Pod 8. Senior Khloey Cilento tied the game on a penalty kick late in the second-half for the Panthers. Senior Stella Stevenson made three saves to give her 100 saves for her career.
Sophomore Emily Coniglio scored the games first goal for Marlboro (3-3) in the first-half. Senior Jordyn Bauer made 15 saves for the Mustangs.
Non-Division
Lakewood at Asbury Park, 3:45 p.m.
No. 10 Freehold Township 2, No. 7 Wall 1
Trailing 1-0 in the second-half, Freehold Township (2-3) scored goals to beat Wall (5-2) in a non-divisional game. Senior Sihera scored the equalizer on a free-kick and Morgan Notaro scored the game winner.
Sophia Libonate scored the game’s first goal just outside the 18-yard line to put Wall up 1-0.
Brick Memorial 4, New Egypt 1
Raritan 3, Southern 2
Junior Carina Szorosy tallied two goals and an assist, as the Rockets (2-3) edged the Rams (1-3). Sophomore Sienna Kelly registered a goal and an assist. Junior Adryanna Iannello recorded an assist. Sophomore goalie Layla Sedlak made 11 saves.
