Championship Round

(1) Manasquan 57, (2) Rumson-Fair Haven 38

Senior Shea Donnelly scored 14 points and started a streak of six consecutive made three-pointers in a row by Manasquan, which powered the Warriors to a big halftime lead and, ultimately, a sectional championship win over the Bulldogs.

With Saturday’s win, Manasquan has won 10 out of the last 11 Central Jersey Group II championship, including one in each of the past two seasons.

Kayden Clark hit the second of the six three-pointers to give Manasquan a 14-4 lead closing out the first quarter and finished with 10 points. Donnelly and Clark each hit a second-three during the shooting spree and Grace Love and Shannon Heine each knocked one down as the Warriors opened up a 41-13 halftime lead and coasted from there.

Olivia Shaughnessy added eight points — all in the first half — and grabbed seven rebounds for Manasquan.

Erin Reid scored a game-high 17 points to lead Rumson, with Silvie Notine added eight in the loss.
