Jacob Pinto led off the game with a triple, drove in a run in three different innings, and struck out six in four strong innings to earn the win as the Red Raiders topped Perth Amboy Magnet in their season-opener.
Pinto hit a sacrifice fly in the three-run Keyport fourth and added a pair of RBI ground outs — one in the second and one in the fifth. Ryan Byrne opened the scoring with an RBI single and scored on a passed ball to give the Red Raiders a lead they would not give back. Tristan Knoblauch struck out eight while recording the final nine outs.
