Jackson 11, No. 6 Point Beach 7
Carney O’Donnell hit a go-ahead two-run single in the top of the fifth inning to flip the score in Jackson’s favor, 7-6, and the Jaguars never looked back in taking down the Garnet Gulls on the road.
O’Donnell also singled home a run in the sixth to extend Jackson’s lead to 10-6. Sean Hallihan added an RBI single for Jackson in the fifth to extend the lead to 8-6 and also plated a go-ahead run in the fourth with a sacrifice fly. Charlie Buchinsky opened the scoring with an RBI single, then tacked on another RBI single to make it 9-6 in the 6th.
Matt Galayda capped Jackson’s scoring with an RBI single in the top of the seventh, then came on to record the final out on the mound after winning pitcher Caden Rathbauer kept Point Beach off the board in the fifth and sixth innings after taking over with one out in the fourth.
Thomas Slobinski tied the game, 4-4, with an RBI double in the bottom of the third and the Garnet Gulls took a 6-5 lead in the bottom of the fourth on a two-run single by Brody Powers.

No. 5 Toms River East 5, No. 2 Wall 4 (12 Innings)
Lucas Melton broke a 2-2 deadlock in the top of the 12th inning with a sacrifice fly and Logan Macchia and Chase Caswell each followed with back-to-back, two-out RBI singles that proved imperative in a marathon win for the Raiders over the Crimson Knights.
Winning pitcher Jonathan Pallman surrendered a one-out single to Luke Dana, then induced a pop up for the second out, with Dana moving to third thanks to an error on his hit and a tag-up on the pop-up. Austin Harr followed with an RBI single and another error extended the game and put the tying runs on base for Wall. Jackson Soos pulled Wall one run closer with an RBI single that scored Harr and marked his third hit of the game.
Pallman collected himself and after falling behind, 3-1, finished an seven-pitch battle with Chris Knight with a strikeout looking to end the game.
Wall tied the game with two runs in the bottom of the sixth on an error and a wild pitch. Toms River East established a 2-0 lead by scoring on an error in the first and an RBI single by Michael Mendes in the top of the fourth.
Pallman allowed an inherited runner to score to tie the game in the bottom of the sixth, then retired 18 out of 19 between the end of the sixth and Dana’s one-out single in the 12th. The lone batter to reach during that stretch of 19 plate appearances did so on an error in the bottom of the ninth.

No. 7 Brick Memorial 7, Southern 3
Braden Kabus came through with a tie-breaking, two-out, RBI single to score Will Montanye with the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh and the Mustangs added three more runs with two out in the inning before closing out the Rams to snap a three-game losing streak.
After Kabus moved to second on the throw home during his winning hit, then gave way to pinch-runner Evan Meyer, Michael Figner singled home Meyer and Gavin McCue doubled to park runners on second and third. Matt McGlynn was hit by a pitch, then Tyler Garbooshian knocked in two more runs with a single through the left side, capping the rally in the seventh.
Southern brought the tying run to the plate with the bases loaded and two out in the bottom of the seventh, but Zach Pirnik closed out the win and a scoreless seventh inning. James Martin pitched a scoreless sixth inning to earn the win.

Manasquan 7, No. 10 Toms River South 4
Chase Kaplan pitched into sixth inning and helped his cause with three RBI at the plate as the Warriors held off the Indians to complete a regular-season sweep of Toms River South and tighten up the Class B South division title race.
Kaplan’s second walk at the plate forced in Manasquan’s third run of the game in the bottom of the second and after Toms River South pulled within 3-2 in the top of the fourth, Kaplan put two back on the board for the Warriors with a two-run single for a 5-2 lead.
Catcher Mike Loffredo helped his battery-mate with an RBI single in the bottom of the first that gave Manasquan a 2-1 lead, with the first run of that rally scoring on a two-out error.
