Coaches Cup Final

(1) Jackson Memorial 65, (2) Manchester 57

Jackson Memorial was able to build a 29-23 lead going into halftime and did not let Manchester to mount a come back to win the Coaches Cup Championship. Three players scored double-digits for the Jaguars with Cali Brown going 14-for-17 from the free-throw line and finishing with a career-high 29 points and dished out 6 assists. Junior Julianna Old posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds and Kayla Matos added 11 points for Jackson Memorial. Sophomore Madeline Nolan scored a team-high 20 points for Manchester and Freshman Savannah Jackson added 16 points.

Non-Divisional

Ocean Twp 50, Henry Hudson 29

Ocean ran past Henry Hudson behind a 17 point performance from Junior Yassmeen Youssef and a 14 point performance from Freshman Emma Burke. Youssef’s game-high 17 point performance included five made 3-pointers. Junior Ava Santoro scored a team-high 11 points in the loss for the Admirals.

Trinity Hall 46,  Red Bank Regional 33

A strong 2nd quarter surge helped Trinity Hall jump on top of Red Bank on their way to victory. Trinity Hall led 12-11 at the end of the 1st quarter before opening up a 24-14 halftime lead in route to victory. Senior Lilly Riggi scored a game-high 18 points while Junior Grace Feeney added 10 points in the win for the Monarchs.

Central 39, Toms River South 36

Central held off a furious 4th quarter rally to defeat Toms River South. Central led 34-25 at the end of 3 quarters holding on by a narrow one basket margin for the win. Senior Vita Kelyman scored a team-high 13 points while Junior Emma Christensen added 8 points in the win for the Golden Eagles. Sophomore Linsey Gribbin scored a game-high 15 points in the loss for the Indians.

Long Branch 43, Point Beach 32

Senior Leomary Diaz-Merino exploded for 41 points in Long Branch’s victory over Point Beach. Diaz-Merino was responsible for over 95% of the Green Wave’s scoring output. Sophomore Nevaeh Wheeler was responsible for the remaining 2 points scored by the Green Wave in the win.

Keansburg 47, Raritan 40

Senior Lindsay Rivera led Keansburg past Raritan with a 21 point scoring performance including 7 made field goals and 7 made free throws. Junior Gabriella Flanzbaum and Sophomore Gianna Bettinger each added 10 points for the Titans while Junior Princess Graves chipped in 6 points in the win for the Titans.

 

Non-Conference

Freehold Boro 53,  North Brunswick 43

Freehold Boro led North Brunswick 33-30 at the end of 3 quarters before pulling away in the 4th quarter. Senior Sayuri Penaranda recorded a 16 point and 12 rebound double-double while Senior Christina Sikaras added 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists in the win for the Colonials.

Point Boro 59, Ewing 46

Senior Vanessa Haas helped lift Point Boro past Ewing with a game-high 23 points. Senior Gabrielle Mellet added 16 points while Senior Emily Marinelli chipped in 10 points in the win for the Panthers.

Robbinsville 45, New Egypt 25

A 20 point, 10 rebound, 6 assist, and 5 steal performance from Senior Gabriella Bottoni led Robbinsville past New Egypt. Junior Madison Adam scored a team-high 13 points in the loss for the Warriors.
