Shore 12, Ocean 9
Tied 3-3 after five innings, Shore (8-4, 6-4) scored seven runs in the top of the 6th and added two insurance runs in the 7th to beat rival Ocean (6-3, 6-3) and pull to one game of the division lead. Junior Ayden Kampf went 3-for4 with a double, three runs scored and five RBI’s to lead the Blue Devils. Freshman Kayla Delia went 4-for-5 with a double and Kelsey Orth scored three times for Shore. Dylann Lawrence struck out five batters to earn the win.
Junior Ryleigh Cerco continues to crush the ball, hitting her Shore Conference leading 7th and 8th home runs. Freshman Taylor Scott went 3-for5 with a home run and three RBI’s for Ocean.
Manasquan 10, St. Rose 3
Manasquan (4-6, 4-5) struck early against rival St. Rose (6-8, 4-6), scoring two runs in the bottom of the 1st and three more in the 2nd to pull closer to .500 in the Constitution Division. Senior Delia Gilmore hit her 6th home run of the season and drove in two runs for the Warriors. Freshman Devyn Weber hit her first career home run and drove in two runs. Weber also earned the victory for Manasquan, striking out two batters.
Senior Gianna Decina went 1-for-3 with a RBI for St. Rose.
Patriot
Brick 19, Neptune 4 (4 Innings)
Brick (8-3, 8-1) jumped on Neptune (3-7, 3-6) with six runs in the top of the 1st and added six more in the 3rd to win and stay in first place in the Patriot Division . Senior Sicilia Booker hit a triple and drove in three runs for the Dragons. Booker also struck out five batters to earn the victory. Sophomore Laney Anza went 2-for-5 with a double, three runs scored and three RBI’s and Daphne Ebner drove in three runs on two hits for Brick.
Senior Sophia Forgach and freshman Meghan Rogers both had one hit and a RBI for Neptune.
Keyport 17, Lakewood 7
Henry Hudson 16, Long Branch 4 (5 innings)
Non-Division
Central 15, Toms River South 7
Trailing 6-1 going into the bottom of the 3rd inning, Central (7-6) scored seven runs in the bottom of the inning and added four insurance runs in the 5th to beat Toms River South (6-7). Senior Sianna Valverde went 3-for-5 with a home run and five RBI’s and Kayla Rasmussen went 2-for-5 with a home run and two runs scored for Central. Freshman Bailee Flora struck eight batters out in relief to earn the win.
Sophomores Minerie Sanchez and Mayson Graf both had one hit and two RBI’s for TRS.
Middletown North 5, Matawan 1
Middletown North (5-9) scored two runs in the bottom of the 3rd and two more in the 4th to beat Matawan (6-4) in a non-divisional game. Junior Deana Coberg went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI’s and Kendyl Smith went 2-for-2 with two runs scored for the Lions. Sophomore Aubrey Borchers struck out five batters over four innings to earn the win.
Junior Elyssa Jamandron hit her 4th home run of the season for Matawan.
Pinelands 15, Wall 6
Pinelands (6-8) attacked early with nine runs in the first three innings to beat Wall (2-9) in a non-divisional game. Junior Kendall Falduto went 3-for-4 with a home run, double and six RBI’s for Pinelands. Senior Jozlyn Peterson was a perfect 4-for-4 with a triple, double, four runs scored and five RBI’s. Sophore Rory Krier struck out seven batters to earn the win for Pinelands.
Sophomore Ladai Velazquez went 3-for-5 with a RBI and classmate Mackenzie Williams added two hits and a RBI.
No. 6 Colts Neck 9, No. 9 Raritan 3
Senior Angela Sasso’s bat was on fire today for Colts Neck (4-7), going 4-for-4 with two home runs and a career-high six RBI’s to lead the Cougars past Raritan (8-4) in a non-divisional battle between two ranked teams. Sasso also earned the win in the circle with four strikeouts and did not allow a walk. Sophomore Adrianna Bryce added two hits and scored one run for Colts Neck.
Sophomore Katelyn Ruta went 2-for-3 with a double and RBI and Isabella Garcia had two hits for the Rockets.
No. 8 Holmdel 21, Monmouth 0 (4 innings)
Freehold Township 5, Freehold Boro 0
Freehold Township (3-6) broke a scoreless tie with four runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning to beat crosstown rival Freehold Boro (8-5). Junior Kiana DeMonte struck out 18 batters and only gave up one hit to earn the victory. Sophomore Alissa Chavez went 3-for-4 with a RBI and three stolen bases. Sophomore Marissa Barbera added three hits and scored two runs for the Patriots.
