(2) St. John Vianney 18, (7) Immaculata 2 (4 innings)

Senior pitcher Madison McDougall recorded eight strikeouts and allowed only three hits, in addition to batting 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, five RBI’s, and three runs, as the Lancers (27-0) dominated the Spartans (12-14). Sophomore Lexie Csontos went 3-for-4 with a double, three RBI’s, and two runs. Freshman Olivia Haslacher went 3-for-4 with three RBI’s and a run. Junior 3B Brynn Utter finished 3-for-3 with a walk, two RBI’s, and two runs. Junior Mia Favato batted 1-for-3 with a walk, two RBI’s, and two runs.

St. John Vianney will host (3) Red Bank Catholic in the semifinals next week.

(1) Donovan Catholic 12, (8) Paul VI 1 (5 innings)

Junior 2B Isabella Cino smoked a 3-run home run to left field on a mercy rule walk-off to put the finishing touches on a dominant win for the Griffins (26-2) against the Eagles (16-9). Cino finished 3-for-4 with the home run, a double, and three runs. Senior pitcher Gylian Hixenbaugh recorded nine strikeouts and allowed only four hits to earn the win. Senior RF Madison Kelliher was 2-for-2 with a walk, three RBI’s, and a run. Senior SS Caroline Kopp batted 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run. Senior CF Isabella Maria went 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs.

Donovan Catholic will host the winner of (4) Notre Dame and (5) St. Thomas Aquinas in the semifinals next week.

South Jersey Group 4

(5) Rancocas Valley 14, (4) Southern 8

Sophomore 3B Emily Spiegler went 4-for-4 with two home runs, a walk, and four RBI’s to lead the Red Devils (19-7) past the Rams (14-10). Rancocas Valley scored six runs in the top of the 5th innings to grow the lead to 8-1. Southern fought back valiantly with six runs of their own in the bottom of the 5th inning, but the Red Devils scored three more runs in both the 6th and 7th inning to pull away.

Junior SS Abigail Krill hit a double with three RBI’s in the loss. Senior C Kendra Perrini recorded two RBI’s. Junior 2B Christina Brooks and senior 1B Kayla Horvath also each recorded an RBI.
