No. 1 St. John Vianney 15, No. 4 Marlboro 0 (4 innings)

Senior pitcher Madison McDougall struck out six batters and allowed just two hits and a walk, as the Lancers (11-0, 6-0) routed the Mustangs (6-3, 3-3). McDougall also went 3-for-4 at the plate with a home run and four RBI’s. Senior SS Gabby Gonzalez was a perfect 4-for-4 with a double and two RBI’s. Junior Brynn Utter batted 3-for-4 with three RBI’s. Sophomore Olivia Lombardi finished 1-for-2 with a 2-run double and a walk.

Junior SS Isabella Wuelfing went 2-for-2 in the loss.

No. 3 Middletown South 5, No. 5 Red Bank Catholic 4 (8 Innings)

For the second straight game Nora Sarcone crossed the plate to win the game for Middletown South (8-2, 5-2) in walk-off style. After drawing a walk in the bottom of the 8th inning, Sarcone stole 2nd base and scored on a double by Olivia Wisiak to beat division rival RBC (5-4, 3-4). Sarcone got the Eagles back into the game hitting a solo home run in the bottom of the 7th to make it 4-2. Celia Collings drove in Wisiak to make it 4-3 and Mia Collins followed that by grounding out in a fielder’s choice to score Ciara Sparandero. Collins finished the day 2-for-4 with a run scored and Sarcone went 1-for-2 with two walks and two runs scored. Riley Smith struck out 13 batters to earn the victory.

Senior Jayden Kane went 2-for-4 with a home run and Grace Lombardi went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI’s for the Caseys. Mackenna Savage struck out 10 batters on the mound for RBC.

No. 6 Colts Neck 3, Middletown North 0

Senior pitcher Angela Sasso recorded six strikeouts and allowed just four hits and two walks, as the Cougars (3-6, 3-4) blanked the Lions (4-8, 0-7). Sasso also hit a two-RBI double. Senior SS Gabriella Bryce was 1-for-3 with a triple, a walk, and a run.

Colonial

Matawan 4, Freehold Township 1

Junior C Elissa Jamandron went a perfect 4-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, an RBI, and two runs, as the Huskies (5-3, 4-2) topped the Patriots (2-5, 2-5). Senior SS Stephanie Meek was 3-for-4 and scored a run. Senior pitcher Emma Kriegstein struck out six batters and hit a 2-RBI double at the plate.

Wall 6, Howell 2

Wall (2-7, 2-5) broke a 2-2 tie with four runs in the top of the 5th to beat division rival Howell (3-6, 1-6). Wall took an early 2-0 lead in the 1st inning , but the Rebels clawed back with a run in the 3rd and a run in the 4th. Junior Addison Lawrence went 2-for-4 with two runs scored  and Eloise Plevier drove in two runs on a double. Sophomore Amanda Regan struck out five batters to earn the win.

Sophomore Katelyn Murphy went 2-for-3 with a double and Hannah Bowers added two hits and drove in a run for Howell.

No. 8 Holmdel 7, No. 9 Raritan 3

Holmdel (8-0, 7-0) moved one game closer from sealing a division title, jumping on Raritan (7-3, 4-2) with five runs in the first two innings to remain undefeated. Senior Julia Henderson struck out eight batters, adding to her school record which she set last game. Senior Emma Vanario went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI’sand Molly Debias drove in two more runs for the Hornets.

Lila Houlihan went 2-for-4 and Madison Regiec doubled in a run for Raritan.

Constitution

Ocean 14, Monmouth 4 (6 Innings)

Ocean (5-2, 5-2) struck early with six runs in the first two innings and ended the game with seven runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to take over first place in the Constitution Division. Junior Ryleigh Cerco went 4-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI’s. Freshman Taylor Scott went 2-for-3 with two doubles and four runs scored. Sophomore Colleen Zdan struck out six batters to earn the victory.

Freshman Isabella Ruiz went 1-for-3 with a triple and Ashlynne Fixsen had a double and three RBI’s for Momnmouth (3-7, 1-6).

Shore 7, Freehold Boro 5 (8 Innings)

Shore (6-4, 4-4) scored three runs in the top of the 7th inning to tie the game at 5 and scored two in the top of the 8th inning to defeat division rival Freehold Boro (7-4, 5-3). Senior Olivia DeFonce went 2-for-4 with a triple and RBI and Kelsey Orth had a single and two RBI’s for Shore. Senior Dylann Lawrence struck out two batters in the win.

Junior Paige Sheridan went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI’s for Freehold Boro.

Manalapan 2, St. Rose 0

Liberty

Toms River North 15, Rumson-Fair Haven 0 (4 innings)

Freshman pitcher Julianna Garofalo recorded three strikeouts and allowed just one hit, as the Mariners (6-3, 6-0) routed the Bulldogs (0-3, 0-3). Senior 1B Dalylia Lyno went 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, and three RBI’s. Senior 2B McKayla Buchy was 1-for-2 with a triple, a walk, and two RBI’s. Sophomore Alexa Iovine finished 1-for-2 with two RBI’s. Junior 3B Gabriella Misner-Schletto batted 1-for-3 with an RBI triple.

Patriot

Neptune 16, Keyport 6 (6 Innings)

Neptune’s (3-5, 3-4) bats were on fire against division rival Keyport (5-4, 4-3). Neptune scored a run in every inning, with four in the 2nd and five in the 3rd to take a 10-3 lead.  Sophomore Kameira Johnson went 2-for-5 with a triple and four RBI’s and both Felicity Oliveras and Euniece Semira had two hits and two RBI’s for the Fliers. Freshman Olivia Forgach struck out nine batters to earn the victory.

Sophomore Kerwin Amber went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI’s for Keyport.

Henry Hudson 24, Keansburg 13

Henry Hudson (4-3, 4-2) jumped all over Keansburg (5-4, 5-3) with eight runs in the top of the 1st inning, but Keansburg clawed back until the Admirals put the game away with eight runs in the top of the 8th inning. Senior Alex Belusko went 2-for-4 with a home run and five RBI’s to lead Henry Hudson. Lucia Fariello and Leah Curry both drove in four runs each with Curry hitting a double and Fariello collected two singles. Curry also struck out nine batters to earn the victory.

Jabnelyz Crespo-Borges went 2-for-4 with three RBI’s and Gabriella Flanzbaum drove in two with a double for Keansburg.

Long Branch 25, Lakewood 15

Non-Division

Brick Memorial 5, Lacey 4

Junior pitcher Avery Nalducci struck out 17 batters and allowed two hits and seven walks, as the Mustangs (2-7) edged the Lions (3-8). Junior SS Carly Hobbs scored the game-winning run in the top of the 7th inning on a sacrifice fly from Nalducci. Hobbs had reached on a double and advanced to third base on an errant throw to get in scoring position. Nalducci had an RBI triple earlier in the game. Freshman 3B Gabrielle Vida went 2-for-3 with a triple, a double, a walk, and an RBI.

Manchester 13, Brick 2 (5 innings)

Sophomore 1B Kayla Meyer went a perfect 4-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, and three RBI’s, as the Hawks (5-4) raced past the Dragons (6-3). Senior 2B Gabriella Minneci was 3-for-4 with two triples and two RBI’s. Junior CF Annabelle Gray finished 2-for-3 with two doubles, a walk, and two RBI’s. Sophomore LF Christine Flanagan batted 1-for-3 with a 2-RBI double. Junior pitcher Kassandra O’Neill struck out two batters and allowed four hits and two walks.
