Semifinals

(1) St. John Vianney 13, (4) Middletown South 0 (5 innings)

Sophomore catcher Olivia Lombardi batted 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, five RBI’s, and two runs, as the Lancers (24-0) rolled over the Eagles (14-7). Junior 3B Brynn Utter went 2-for-3 with a home run, a walk, two RBI’s, and two runs. Senior pitcher Madison McDougall struck out four batters and allowed only three hits and two walks, in addition to going 3-for-4 with two doubles, three RBI’s, and two runs at the plate. Senior SS Gabby Gonzalez finished 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI’s, and two runs. Freshman Olivia Haslacher was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

St. John Vianney will play (2) Donovan Catholic on Thursday night at Count Basie Field at 7 p.m. in the championship.

(2) Donovan Catholic 13, (3) Marlboro 3 (6 innings)

The Griffins (25-1) rallied from a 3-2 deficit with a 10-run explosion in the bottom of the 5th inning to defeat the Mustangs (15-7). Senior SS Caroline Kopp went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBI’s, and two runs. Senior C Jaelynn Nunez was 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI’s, and a run. Freshman Kourtney Murphy batted 2-for-3 with two RBI’s. Junior Molly Hoops finished 1-for-1 with two RBI’s. Junior 2B Isabella Cino went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, an RBI, and a run. Senior CF Isabella Maria was 2-for-3 with a double, two walks, and two runs.

Donovan Catholic will play (1) St. John Vianney on Thursday night at Count Basie Field at 7 p.m. in the championship.

Liberty

Rumson-Fair Haven 13, Toms River North 3 (5 innings)

Junior 3B Abby Coleman hit a two-run home run, as the Bulldogs (6-7, 4-5) raced past the Mariners (9-11, 8-2). Freshman 1B Keira McNeil went 3-for-4 with a double, three RBI’s, and three runs. Junior OF Melanie Parker was 3-for-3 with three RBI’s and two runs. Junior pitcher Mia Missig recorded seven strikeouts and batted 3-for-3 with a double, two RBI’s, and three runs.

Howell 9, Manasquan 1

Wall 12, Point Beach 2 (5 innings)

Sophomore CF Ladai Velazquez went 2-for-2 with a home run, a walk, three RBI’s, and three runs, as the Crimson Knights (5-13) topped the Garnet Gulls (5-16). Sophomore 3B Essie Harr was 3-for-4 with two RBI’s and a run.

Brick Memorial at Freehold Township- PPD, Heat

Central 6, No. 9 Holmdel 3 (10 innings)

Manalapan 16, Red Bank 1 (4 innings)

Freshman Leah Garby batted 2-for-3 with two home runs, a walk, six RBI’s, and two runs, as the Braves (11-12) routed the Bucs (3-13). Junior Sophia Scafuri went 2-for-4 with four RBI’s and a run. Junior Caitlynn DePalma was 2-for-2 with a double, four RBI’s, and two runs. Junior Sophia Miranda recorded four strikeouts and allowed only four hits in the win, in addition to batting 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI, and two runs.
