No. 6 Colts Neck 5, Ramapo 3 (8 innings)

Senior 3B Julia Watkins hit a 2-RBI single to center field in the top of the 8th inning to lead the Cougars (5-7) to a big-time win over the Raiders (11-3). Colts Neck did a ton of damage in the 1st inning as sophomore CF Adrianna Bryce tripled to left field, scoring senior pitcher Angela Sasso and senior SS Gabriella Bryce. Adrianna Bryce then scored on a fielder’s choice to give the Cougars a 3-0 lead. Ramapo added two runs of their own on a single in the bottom of the 1st inning before tying the game on a solo home run in the bottom of the third.

In the win, Watkins finished 2-for-4 with two RBI’s. Sasso was 3-for-4 and scored two runs, while also recording 12 strikeouts and allowing seven hits and three walks in a complete game.

No. 4 Marlboro 4, Immaculate Heart 1

A pair of singles in the top of the 7th inning from freshman LF Samantha Joy and senior Mikayla Pytel, followed by three consecutive walks, helped the Mustangs (9-3) score four runs in the final inning to take down the Blue Eagles (8-5), who are ranked 14th in the state according to NJ Advance Media.

Senior pitcher Emily Gaudio struck out eight batters and allowed six hits, no walks, and no earned runs.

No. 5 Red Bank Catholic vs Randolph, 3 p.m.
