Sectional Quarterfinals

Central Jersey Group 4

(2) Sayreville 7, (10) Manalapan 3

Senior 1B Sara Williamson went 2-for-3 with two RBI’s, as the Bombers (24-2) eliminated the Braves (12-13).

Junior CF Elissa Lieberman was 2-for-4 with two runs in the loss. Freshman pitcher Leah Garby batted 1-for-2 with a walk and an RBI.

(3) Marlboro 10, (6) Hunterdon Central 0 (5 innings)

Senior pitcher Emily Gaudio recorded five strikeouts and allowed only two hits, as the Mustangs (18-7) blanked the Red Devils (14-13). Junior SS Isabella Wuelfing went 2-for-3 with a home run, a walk, three RBI’s, and two runs. Gaudio batted 2-for-4 with two RBI’s. Junior CF Lily FitzPatrick finished 2-for-3 with two RBI’s and a run. Junior 1B Ashlee Chen was 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI, and a run. Junior 2B Alyssa Abadiatokis drew three walks and scored two runs.

Marlboro will travel to (2) Sayreville in the semifinals.

South Jersey Group 4

(2) Cherokee 8, (7) Central 3

Senior C Kasey McNee went 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI’s, and a run, as the Chiefs (21-4) eliminated the Golden Eagles (15-10).

Senior CF Leah Bollettino was 2-for-3 with a walk and a run in the loss. Junior C Grace Ostapovich went 1-for-2 with a walk and a run. Senior 1B Jaelynn Witte recorded an RBI.

Central Jersey Group 3

(4) Colts Neck 8, (12) Ewing 1

Senior SS Gabriella Bryce went 4-for-4 with a triple, a double, two RBI’s, and three runs, as the Cougars (13-9) defeated the Blue Devils (8-15). Senior pitcher Angela Sasso recorded nine strikeouts and allowed only two hits, in addition to registering a double and three RBI’s at the plate. Junior LF Gabriella Horbal was 2-for-3 with a double and a run. Junior C Katherine Rizzo finished 1-for-3 and scored two runs.

Colts Neck will travel to (1) Steinert in the semifinals.

(10) Brick Memorial 2, (2) Northern Burlington 0

Junior pitcher Avery Nalducci recorded 13 strikeouts and allowed just one walk in a complete-game no-hitter, as the Mustangs (10-13) stunned the Greyhounds (22-4). The Mustangs scored their first run in the 3rd inning after sophomore 2B Jocelyn Melendez drew a walk, proceeded to steal second, and scored on a fly ball single to right field from Nalducci. They added an insurance run in the 6th inning after junior SS Carly Hobbs doubled to left field, advanced to third on a ground out, and scored on a fielder’s choice RBI from freshman 3B Gabrielle Vida.

Brick Memorial will travel to (3) Middletown South in the semifinals.

(3) Middletown South 3, (6) Middletown North 1

Junior pitcher Riley Smith recorded 13 strikeouts and allowed only two hits, as the Eagles (17-7) defeated the rival Lions (12-14) for the fourth time this season. Junior CF Mia Collins went 2-for-3 with a home run and a double. Freshman Annie Wilson was 1-for-2 with a walk and an RBI.

Sophomore C Ellie Gottschalk went 1-for-3 with an RBI in the loss.

Middletown South will host (10) Brick Memorial in the semifinals.

South Jersey Group 3

(3) Clearview 5, (6) Toms River East 1

Sophomore pitcher Lila Green recorded three strikeouts and allowed five hits and a walk, as the Pioneers (17-8) eliminated the Raiders (14-8).

Senior CF Cameron Carr went 3-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI in the loss. Sophomore 3B Alexa DeMarco was 2-for-3 with a double.

Central Jersey Group 2

(5) Raritan 8, (4) Delaware Valley 6

Junior SS Holly Bellofatto went 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI’s, and two runs, as the Rockets (21-7) prevailed over the Terriers (22-4). Junior 2B Janelle Clausi was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI’s. Sophomore pitcher Lila Houlihan batted 1-for-2 with a walk, an RBI, and a run. Sophomore 1B Brielle Brosonski finished 1-for-3 with a double and a run.

Raritan will play the winner of (1) Allentown and (9) Metuchen in the semifinals.

South Jersey Group 2

(2) Barnegat 3, (7) Medford Tech 0

Junior pitcher Gianna Gomez recorded 15 strikeouts and allowed only one hit and one walk, as the Bengals (21-2) blanked the Jaguars (18-4). The Bengals scored all three of their runs in the 1st inning. Senior CF Brianna Dato and senior C Jadeyn Bodziak each drew walks. Sophomore 2B Brooke Rizzo hit an RBI double to left field to score both runners. Gomez then singled on a fly ball to center field to score Rizzo.

Barnegat will host (3) Haddon Heights in the semifinals.

Central Jersey Group 1

(9) Florence 12, (1) Shore 6

Freshman C Jayla Zingaro went 3-for-5 with with a home run, four RBI’s, and three runs, as the Flashes (14-5) eliminated the Blue Devils (18-7).

Sophomore 2B Alegra Minner went 3-for-4 with two runs in the loss. Senior pitcher Dylann Lawrence was 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI.

(5) New Egypt 22, (4) Highland Park 2 (5 innings)

Senior Samantha Potts went 2-for-3 with a triple, a walk, three RBI’s, and three runs, as the Warriors (16-10) dominated the Owls (16-13) with seven runs in the 4th inning and 12 runs in the 5th inning. Senior Olivia Stillwell was 2-for-2 with a double, three walks, three RBI’s, and two runs. Junior Elizabeth Potts batted 2-for-3 with a walk, two RBI’s, and two runs. Freshman Hannah Raulf finished 2-for-5 with two RBI’s and two runs. Freshman Samantha Garcia went 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI, and four runs. Sophomore pitcher Kylie White recorded two strikeouts and allowed two hits and three walks in the win.

Non-Public A

(3) Red Bank Catholic 10, (6) Union Catholic 0 (6 innings)

Junior SS Grace Lombardi batted 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBI’s, and two runs, as the Caseys (15-10) dominated the Vikings (14-9). Sophomore pitcher Mackenna Savage recorded nine strikeouts and allowed only three hits and two walks. Sophomore LF Brooke Rodriguez was 1-for-3 with a double, two RBI’s, and a run. Junior RF Grace Grimaldi finished 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI, and a run.

Red Bank Catholic will play the winner of tomorrow’s game between (2) St. John Vianney and (7) Immaculata in the quarterfinals.
