Freshman Kayla Delia went 3-for-3 with a home run, a double, and three RBI’s, and junior Ayden Kampf homered, walked, and scored two runs, as the Blue Devils (13-4, 7-4) topped the Warriors (4-11, 4-8). Senior Olivia DeFonce batted 3-for-5 with a triple and four RBI’s. Junior Kelsey Orth finished 2-for-4 with a walk and two RBI’s. Sophomore Madison Mateicka went 2-for-4 with two RBI’s.

Non-Division
Freehold Township 15, Ocean 0 (4 innings)
Freehold Township (7-6) wasted no time getting their bats going, scoring four runs in both the 1st and 2nd innings and five more in the 3rd to win their 5th straight game. Junior Kiana DeMonte pitched a no-hitter and struck out 10 batters to shut out Ocean (10-5). DeMonte also scored four times on three hits. Senior Taylor Garze had two hits and four RBI’s and sophomore Julia Calamia went 3-for-3 with four runs batted in. Freshman Madeline Musante hit two doubles and scored two runs and Francesca Svoboda scored four times.
Jackson 3, Middletown North 2
Sophomore Tara Steppat went 2-for-3 with two RBI’s to lead the Jaguars (8-8) past the Lions (7-12). Senior pitcher Emily Hersh struck out eight batters, in addition to batting 1-for-2 with a walk and an RBI.
Senior Brianna Soto was 2-for-4 with two RBI’s in the loss.
No. 7 Barnegat 4, No. 10 Raritan 0
Junior Gianna Gomez pitched her fourth no-hitter of the season, striking out 16 batters to lead Barnegat (16-1) to a non-division win over No. 10 Raritan (12-6). Barnegat scored one run in the top of the 1st inning after senior Riley Schmidt lead the game off with a walk and later scored on a ground out by Brooke Rizzo. Rizzo went 2-for-3 with a run score and RBI. Barnegat added three insurance runs in the 6th inning, Gomez grounded out to score Jadeyn Bodziak, who started the inning off with a walk. Freshman Makaila Wickham hit a single to score Rizzo to make it 3-0.
No. 9 Holmdel 4, Freehold Boro 3
Junior catcher Natalie Clifford went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI’s, and three runs to lead the Hornets (13-3) past the Colonials (11-8). Senior Delaney Savage was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Freshman Amanda Tuccillo batted 3-for-4 and scored a run. Senior pitcher Julia Henderson recorded eight strikeouts in the win.
Junior Katherine Martin and freshman Vanessa Karabin each recorded an RBI in the loss.
New Egypt 12, Keyport 1 (6 Innings)
No. 2 Donovan Catholic 12, No. 8 Toms River East 2 (6 Innings)
Sophomore Julianna Vignets went 2-for-2 with a career-high four RBI’s to lead Donovan Catholic (18-0) to a non-divisional win against TRE (13-4). Auburn commit Isabella Maria hit a triple and drove in three runs and Jaelynn Nunez launched two solo home runs for the Griffins. Junior Gylian Hixenbaugh struck out four batters over five innings to earn the win.
Freshman Layla Hatton had a single and RBI for TRE.
Toms River South 14, Rumson-Fair Haven 3 (5 Innings)
Sophomore Mikayla Lindemann led Toms River South (10-9) at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and five runs batted in to beat Rumson (3-7) and go one game above .500 on the season. Freshman Maddie Keller hit a triple and a double with one RBI and sophomore Ella Fischer had two hits and scored three times for TRS. Senior Brooke Hopkins struck out five batters in 2.2 innings and sophomore Sophia Bonner struck out one batter in 2.1 innings in relief without giving up a run.
Junior Melanie Parker and freshman Hunter Parsons both went 1-for-2 with a walk and run scored for Rumson.
Non-Conference
Pinelands 3, Pilgrim Academy 0
Sophomore Rory Krier only gave up three hits and struck out 10 batters in a shutout victory for Pinelands (8-12) over Pilgrim Academy (2-4) in a non-conference game. Cassie Gould scored on an error in the top of the 5th inning to break a 0-0 tie. Pinelands added two insurance runs in the 7th. Jozlyn Peterson scored after drawing a walk and Kendall Falduto scored the third run after an error by the first baseman. Pinelands took advantage of the eight walks they drew and scored on both errors by Pilgram Academy.
Manville 15, Keansburg 9
No. 4 Middletown South 14, Cranford 3 (6 Innings)
Middletown South (12-5) exploded with 17 hits and scored 14 runs in a non-conference win over Cranford (11-9). Junior Celia Collings and sophomore Quinnlynn Heaney both hit home runs with Heaney finishing with five RBI’s and Collings going 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. Freshman Annie Wilson went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs scored for the Eagles. Junior Riley Smith struck out five batters over four innings to earn the win and Reagan Heaney struck out two batters in two innings of relief.
Mount St. Dominic 3, No. 3 Marlboro 1
Marlboro (12-5) was able to strike first in the top of the 1st inning, but Jillian Cianfrocca hit a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 6th to give Mount St. Dominic (20-2) the non-conference win. Wuelfing went 2-for-4 with a double and run scored and Emily Gaudio also hit a double for the Mustangs.
