Freedom

No. 2 Donovan Catholic 7,  Jackson 0

Donovan (10-0, 7-0) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning and continued to add to it to defeat Jackson (5-5, 3-4) to remain undefeated in the Freedom Division. Isabella Maria and Isabella Cino both tripled and drove in a run for Donovan. Maria also scored three times in the game. Mia Kelliher went 3-for-3 with three doubles. Caroline Kopp struck out 15 batters and only allowed one hit to earn the victory.

Pinelands 7, Central 5

Junior 1B Kendall Falduto crushed a two-run home run to center field, as the Wildcats (5-7, 2-5) rallied from a 3-0 deficit with two runs in the top of the 5th inning and five runs in the top of the 7th inning, to defeat the Golden Eagles (6-5, 2-4). Sophomore LF Brielle Hartley was 2-for-4 with two RBI’s. Senior CF Jozlyn Peterson finished 3-for-4 with an RBI double and a walk.

Southern 10, Point Boro 0

Southern (6-5, 4-3) scored five runs in the 1st inning and did not look back against rival Point Boro (3-7, 2-5). Junior Brooke Sutter drove in three runs and Kendra Perrini went 2-for-2 with two walks. Sutter also struck out seven batters to earn the win.

Independence

No. 7 Barnegat 16, New Egypt 0

Brick Memorial 8, Point Beach 7

Junior pitcher Avery Nalducci struck out 18 batters and went 2-for-2 at the plate with a 2-run home run, an RBI double, and two walks, as the Mustangs (3-7, 2-5) edged the Garnet Gulls (3-8, 1-6). Junior SS Carly Hobbs batted 4-for-4 and scored four runs.

Senior SS Bridget Kane was 3-for-5 with a triple, four RBI’s, and two runs in the loss.

No. 10 Toms River East 6, Toms River South 0

Junior pitcher Kylie Paladino recorded five strikeouts and allowed just three hits and three walks, as the Raiders (7-2, 5-2) defeated the rival Indians (6-5, 4-3). Sophomore catcher Maya Ballaccomo hit an RBI double and scored another runner on a sacrifice fly. Sophomore 3B Alexa DeMarco went 2-for-2 with an RBI double. Junior 2B Kelly Forrester also hit an RBI double.

Sophomore Ella Fischer went 1-for-2 with two walks in the loss.

Liberty

Manchester 13, Lacey 3 (6 innings)

Sophomore LF Christine Flanagan went 2-for-4 with four RBI’s, as the Hawks (5-4, 4-2) raced past the Lions (3-9, 3-3). Senior SS Emily Franolich was 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, and three RBI’s. Junior CF Annabelle Gray batted 1-for-2 with a walk and two RBI’s. Senior pitcher Gabriella Minneci recorded three strikeouts and allowed only one hit and two walks.

Trinity Hall 6, Red Bank 1

Junior pitcher Emma Mullins fanned 15 batters and allowed only four hits and a walk, as the Monarchs (3-3, 2-2) topped the Bucs (1-7, 0-6). Senior 3B Helen Taylor batted 3-for-5 with an RBI. Sophomore 2B Giuliana Ronco and sophomore CF Avery Donohue both went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Senior catcher Elizabeth Romer finished 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI.

Toms River North at Rumson-Fair Haven, 3:45 p.m.
