Junior pitcher Mia Missig recorded 14 strikeouts and allowed five hits and three walks, as the Bulldogs (7-7, 5-5) edged the Lions (6-13, 4-6). Junior LF Melanie Parker hit two RBI’s and scored a run. Freshman C Juliana Vaclavik hit an RBI single. Sophomore CF Riley Berry batted 2-for-4 with a double and two runs.

Junior C Olivia Tramantano went 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI in the loss. Senior 3B Chloe Emmons was 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run. Freshman SS Savannah Wilkins batted 1-for-2 with a double, a walk, and a run.

Sophomore pitcher Aubrey Borchers recorded six strikeouts and allowed only two hits and two walks in four innings, as the Lions (10-13) blanked the Purple Roses (8-16). Sophomore Izzy Mattison went 2-for-4 with an RBI and three runs. Senior Brianna Soto was 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, an RBI, and three runs. Sophomore Abby Esposito finished 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI, and a run. Senior Julie Frontera tripled and scored a run.

Colts Neck 7, Toms River East 2

Senior 3B Julia Watkins went 3-for-4 with a double, three RBI’s, and a run, as the Cougars (11-9) defeated the Raiders (13-7). Senior SS Gabriella Bryce was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs. Freshman DP Reagan Quigley finished 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run.

Ocean 4, Brick Memorial 2

Sophomore pitcher Colleen Zdan recorded seven strikeouts and allowed only four hits and four walks, as the Spartans (11-9) defeated the Mustangs (7-13). Junior CF Nathalie Staten went 2-for-3 with two RBI’s and a run. Zdan batted 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run. Freshman SS Taylor Scotto hit a double.

Ocean head coach Mark Frankel recorded his 500th career win.

No. 3 Marlboro 13, Toms River South 4

Senior C Ziva McQuade crushed a three-run home run to left field, as the Mustangs (16-7) defeated the Indians (11-13). Junior LF Julianna Rantanella was 2-for-3 with three RBI’s and a run. Senior SS Emily Gaudio went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs. Junior 2B Ashlee Chen finished 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI’s. Junior pitcher Isabella Wuelfing batted 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, in addition to recording 12 strikeouts in the win.

Non-Conference

No. 10 Raritan 8, South Brunswick 5

The Rockets (18-7) rallied from a 5-2 deficit with a six-run spurt in the top of the 7th inning to defeat the Vikings (5-20). Sophomore 1B Lila Houlihan went 1-for-3 with a double, two walks, and two RBI’s. Junior pitcher Payton Fleming was 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI, and a run, in addition to recording six strikeouts. Sophomore 3B Chloe Mancuso finished 1-for-2 with two walks, an RBI, and a run. Junior CF Madison Regiec hit an RBI double.

New Egypt 11, West Windsor-Plainsboro South 3

Junior 1B Grace Seraphin went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, three RBI’s, and a run, as the Warriors (13-10) stifled the Pirates (4-14). Freshman C Hannah Raulf batted 2-for-2 with three walks, two RBI’s, and three runs. Freshman Samantha Garcia finished 2-for-5 with a double, two RBI’s, and two runs.
