Senior Emily Zellman went 3-for-3 with a triple, a walk, an RBI, and two runs, as the Rams (9-6) defeated the Raiders (13-3) to capture the Ocean County Tournament Championship. Senior Kendra Perrini was 2-for-3 with a walk and two RBI’s. Junior SS Abigail Krill went 1-for-4 with an RBI. Isabella DeSanto went 1-for-3 and scored two runs. Junior pitcher Brooke Sutter hit a double and scored a run, in addition to recording six strikeouts.

Senior CF Cameron Carr was 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, and two RBI’s in the loss. Junior 2B Kelly Forrester was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run.

Liberty

Trinity Hall 10, Rumson-Fair Haven 3

Junior pitcher Emma Mullins recorded 12 strikeouts and allowed only four hits, as the Monarchs (6-6, 5-4) beat the Bulldogs (3-6, 2-5). Mullins went 2-for-4 at the plate with a triple, three RBI’s, and a run. Senior 3B Elizabeth Romer was 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI, and two runs.

Freshman pitcher Keira McNeil hit an inside-the-park home run in the loss.

Non-Division

Central 11, Brick Memorial 3

Sophomore RF Kayla Rasmussen hit a 2-RBI double, walked, and scored two runs, as the Golden Eagles (10-7) topped the Mustangs (4-12). Junior DH Kayla Fedor went 1-for-3 with two RBI’s. Senior CF Leah Bollettino was 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run. Junior C Grace Ostapovich batted 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, and an RBI. Sophomore pitcher Hailey Craddock struck out four batters and allowed six hits and two walks in the win.

Freshman 3B Gabrielle Vida went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI’s in the loss.

Shore 11, Long Branch 1 (5 innings)

Senior Olivia DeFonce went 2-for-2 with a triple, four RBI’s, and two runs, as the Blue Devils (12-4) defeated the Green Wave (2-13). Freshman Avery Barbara batted 2-for-3 with four RBI’s. Junior Kelsey Orth was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run. Senior pitcher Dylann Lawrence recorded five strikeouts and allowed only two hits and a walk in four innings, while batting 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI.

Matawan 12, Manalapan 0 (5 innings)

Junior C Elyssa Jamandron went 3-for-3 with a double, an RBI and three runs, as the Huskies (9-6) blanked the Braves (9-9). Senior pitcher Emma Kriegstein struck out seven batters and allowed only three hits and two walks, in addition to batting 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run. Senior CF Kate Martellite was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI’s. Junior LF Devynn Whinna went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, two RBI’s, and two runs. Freshman SS Alexis Wilk finished 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI’s, and a run.

Middletown North 16, Monmouth 0 (4 innings)

Junior pitcher Grace English recorded 10 strikeouts and allowed only one walk, as the Lions (7-11) trounced the Falcons (4-15). Sophomore C Ellie Gottschalk batted 3-for-3 with four RBI’s and three runs. Freshman 2B Riley McBurney was 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI’s, and two runs. Sophomore CF Olivia Courtney went 1-for-3 with three RBI’s. Sophomore SS Aubrey Borchers finished 1-for-1 with two RBI’s and a run.

Brick 6, Red Bank 5

Senior 3B Jordan Mulhearn went 3-for-4 with a triple, as the Dragons (10-4) edged the Bucs (2-12). Junior AnnaClaire Staudt was 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI, and a run. Sophomore Laney Anza was 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI.

Wall at No. 7 Barnegat- Canceled

No. 6 Colts Neck 7, Howell 1

Senior SS Gabby Bryce went 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBI’s, and three runs, as the Cougars (7-8) prevailed over the Rebels (6-9). Senior pitcher Angela Sasso struck out 10 batters and allowed five hits, in addition to batting 2-for-3 with two doubles, a walk, an RBI, and a run. Senior 3B Julia Watkins batted 3-for-3 with two RBI’s and a run. Sophomore CF Adrianna Bryce finished 3-for-3 with a walk and an RBI.

Sophomore SS Katelyn Murphy went 3-for-4 with a run in the loss. Junior 3B Hailey Ruditsky hit an RBI single.

Manchester 12, Neptune 0 (5 innings)

Senior pitcher Gabriella Minneci struck out seven batters and allowed only two hits, in addition to batting 4-for-4 with two triples, an RBI, and four runs to lead the Hawks (9-6) past the Scarlet Fliers (5-9). Sophomore LF Christine Flanagan went 1-for-2 with two RBI’s and a run. Junior LF Jasmine Dowling was 1-for-2 with a 2-RBI double.

No. 5 Red Bank Catholic 10, St. Rose 0 (6 innings)

Sophomore pitcher Mackenna Savage recorded 13 strikeouts and allowed only one hit, in addition to batting 2-for-4 with a solo home run, as the Caseys (10-7) blanked the Purple Roses (7-10). Junior Grace Grimaldi crushed a 2-run home run to left field. Senior CF Torri Case smashed a 2-run home run and walked. Senior C Jayden Kane went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI’s, and a run.

Toms River South 14, Toms River North 11 (8 innings)

The Indians (9-9) rallied from an 11-8 deficit in the top of the 7th inning to defeat the rival Mariners (8-8). Senior Kylee Risk and junior Aubrey Coulson hit back-to-back singles to begin the rally. Sophomore Minerie Sanchez then hit an RBI single on a fly ball to right field to cut the deficit to two. A sacrifice fly from freshman Maddie Keller made the score 11-10. Later in the inning with two outs, senior Addison Tupper hit an RBI to tie the game.

After a good defensive inning in the bottom of the 7th, the Indians brought the bats again in the top of the 8th. Following an error and a fly out, Risk singled on a line drive to right field to put runners on first and second. Junior Aubrey Coulson hit an RBI single to center field to give Toms River South the lead. Sanchez then doubled on a line drive to score another run, before a fielder’s choice made it 14-11. Lindemann closed the game out for the win.

Non-Conference

No. 3 Marlboro 15, Princeton 3 (5 innings)

Junior SS Isabella Wuelfing went 2-for-3 with two home runs, a walk, four RBI’s, and three runs, as the Mustangs (12-4) topped the Tigers (7-12). Senior Emily Gaudio was 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBI’s, and three runs. Junior C Reese Grinberg batted 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, three RBI’s, and a run. Junior pitcher Ashlee Chen earned the win on the mound and went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs at the plate.

Cedar Creek 15, Pinelands 11
