Class A North

Colts Neck 62, Freehold Twp. 47

Marlboro 53, Ranney 50

Sophomore Nolan Gong scored 21 points and senior Cole Newman drained five three-pointers on the way to 18 points as the Mustangs (8-11, 3-6) took down the Panthers (8-8, 4-5) on the road.

Senior MeSean Williams carried the Ranney offense with 25 points, with classmate Justin Buck kicking in eight in the loss.

 

Class B North

Freehold Boro 58, Ocean 25

Senior Aidan Hamlin-Woolfolk poured in a game-high 19 points and classmate Brian Tassey recorded his third triple-double of the season, leading the Colonials over the Spartans (5-14, 5-4) to clinch Freehold Boro (15-6, 8-0) its first outright division championship in 15 years.

Tassey finished with 13 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists for his sixth triple-double in the last two seasons and Hamlin-Woolfolk also pulled in nine rebounds to go with his game-high scoring total. Senior Qua’Mir Everett also contributed nine points and six rebounds.

Junior Aidan Saint Louis scored 11 points and freshman Brody Bell added nine to lead Ocean.

Shore 45, Long Branch 42

Sophomore Maddox Paulin led a balanced effort with 12 points and the Blue Devils (15-4, 6-3) battled past the Green Wave (6-13, 4-5) to lock up a road victory.

Junior Andrew Barham added 11 points and junior Finn Watson added eight for Shore. Josh Amaya led Long Branch with 11 points and Cameron DeJesus chipped in 10 in the loss.

 

Class B Coastal

Middletown North 56, Henry Hudson 44

Junior Eddie Lopez, sophomore Nate Tyburczy and senior Colin Byrne combined for 46 of Middletown North’s 56 points and the Lions (15-6, 8-1) conquered the Admirals (14-6, 6-3) on the road to clinch the outright Class B Coastal championship.

Lopez led the way with 19 points, while Tyburczy netted 15 and Byrne chipped in 12 for Middletown North. Senior Jack Fitzpatrick scored a game-high 22 points to lead Henry Hudson.

Matawan 67, Keansburg 44

Junior Colin Reitmann led four Matawan players in double-figure scoring with 15 points and that balanced attack carried the Huskies (6-13, 3-6) to a road win over the Titans (6-12, 0-9).

Christian Baskerville poured in 12 points, senior Amir Martinez contributed 10 points, four assists and five steals, and freshman Cayson Williams posted a 11 points, 11 rebounds and three steals for Matawan.

Junior A’Son Young scored 13 points and senior Ja’Zier Wynn added 10 to pace Keansburg.

Keyport 59, Raritan 39

Junior Kai Arrington scored a game-high 17 points and the Red Raiders (13-5, 5-4) rolled to a win over the Rockets (8-12, 5-4).

Senior Andrei Matthews added 15 points and senior Nico Dispenza chipped in 10 for Keyport, which broke the game open with a 20-8 third-quarter run after leading by five at halftime.

Freshman Mario Diamantis led Raritan with 13 points, including three of the Rockets’ 10 made three-pointers as a team. Ten of Raritan’s 12 made field goals in the game were three-pointers.

 

Class B Central

Wall 52, Lakewood 33

Junior Dan Hennessy scored 13 points and classmate Jake DeBrito threw in 11 to lead the Crimson Knights (15-3, 8-0) over the Piners (2-14, 0-7), giving Wall a share of its first division championship since 2019-20. Wall can clinch the title outright with a win at home Tuesday vs. Jackson Liberty.

Junior Ronny Cuevas and sophomore Isaiah Shade each scored 10 points to lead Lakewood.

 

Non-Division

Toms River South 54, Brick 43

Junior Jacob Myers scored 19 points and classmate Shane Gambarony scored 14 of his 18 in the second half to lead the Indians (3-16) over the Green Dragons (7-13), ending Toms River South’s 12-game losing streak.

Junior Kharii Pringle also poured in 10 points for Toms River South, including seven in the first quarter.

Sophomore Jamel Pitts led Brick with 13 points, with classmate Sean Nausedas adding 10 points and six rebounds and senior Jayden Johnson contributing nine points and five assists in the loss.

No. 10 Southern 59, Lacey 55

Junior Jake Sliwinski pumped in 25 points and handed out five assists while sophomore Noah Perna turned in a double-double to power the Rams (14-4) past the Lions (6-11).

Perna scored 13 points while pulling in 10 rebounds and also dished out four assists. Senior Cooper Dempsey also collected four assists for Southern to go with his six points.

Seniors Jon Stabile and Frank Smith each scored 14 points to lead Lacey and classmate D.J. Duffy added 11 points and five assists in the loss.

Donovan Catholic 59, Barnegat 48

Senior Ryan Jacobs scored a game-high 18 points and the Griffins (10-9) rode a strong fourth-quarter performance to a road win over the Bengals (13-6) that snapped Barnegat’s eight-game winning streak.

Senior James Gibbons added 16 points and sophomore Gabe Felicano chipped in 14 for Donovan Catholic, which hit Barnegat with a 9-0 run to push its lead to 52-42 after the Bengals cut their deficit to 43-42 on the first possession of the fourth quarter.

Senior Todd Muhammad led Barnegat with 19 points, including five three-pointers.
