We’re back with the Week 10 NuVision Resolve Shore Conference Football Player of the Week poll where we post nominees for the Shore Conference offensive, defensive and special teams Players of the Week and give readers the chance to choose who should take home the award based on their performance in the previous week’s games.

Read through each player’s accomplishments for the week and cast your votes. This week’s poll will close on Wednesday at 10 p.m.

OFFENSE

Liam Brosnan, Sr., RB, Point Beach

-Ran for 151 yards and four touchdowns on 22 carries in a 26-22 win over Buena to become the Garnet Gulls’ all-time leading rusher and the first player in program history with consecutive 1,000-yard rushing seasons. He also had 13 tackles with 4 tackles for loss on defense.

 

Caleb Brown, So, QB, Neptune

-Ran for 146 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries and threw for 158 yards and a touchdown to lead the Scarlet Fliers to a 46-14 win over Colts Neck.

 

Ty Kline, Sr., QB, Pinelands

-Completed 18 of 23 passes and set program single-game records with 330 yards passing and five touchdowns when the Wildcats closed out their season with a 48-20 win over Pemberton.

 

Jason Lajara, Jr., QB, Brick Memorial

-Completed 8 of 12 passes for 226 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 128 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries to lead the Mustangs to a 41-21 win over Jackson Memorial in the Central Jersey Group 4 semifinals.

 

Josh Moeller, Sr., QB, Shore

-Threw a touchdown pass and ran for another when the Blue Devils defeated Woodbury, 17-7, in the Central Jersey Group 1 semifinals.

 

Kellen Murray, Jr., RB, Rumson-Fair Haven

-Rushed for 171 yards and four touchdowns on 12 carries to help lead the Bulldogs to a 56-28 win over Delran in the Central Jersey Group 2 semifinals.

 

Xavier Nunes, Sr., RB, Raritan

-Ran for 125 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries in the Rockets’ 42-28 win over Ocean in their season finale. He also had 2 sacks, 2 tackle for loss, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a blocked kick on defense and special teams.

 

Dylan Reitmeyer, Sr., RB, Point Boro

-Ran for 118 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries in the Panthers’ 49-14 win over Manchester in the South Jersey Group 2 semifinals.

 

Abdul Turay, So., RB, St. John Vianney

-Rushed for 211 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries to lead the Lancers to a 41-10 win over Notre Dame in the first round of the Non-Public B playoffs.

 

T.J. Valerio, Sr., QB, Toms River North

-Completed 9 of 12 passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 107 yards on 24 carries to help lead the Mariners to a 21-14 comeback win over Kingsway in the South Jersey Group 5 semifinals.

 

 

 

 

DEFENSE

Jake Clayton, So., DB, Point Boro

-Intercepted a pass and totaled three touchdowns on offense in the Panthers’ 49-14 win over Manchester in the South Jersey Group 2 semifinals.

 

Beau Devine, Jr., DB, Rumson-Fair Haven

-Intercepted two passes and recovered a fumble when the Bulldogs defeated Delran 56-28 in the Central Jersey Group 2 semifinals.

 

Mateo Masotti, Sr., LB, Wall

-Recorded 13 tackles, 1 sack and 3 tackles for loss when the Crimson Knights defeated Haddonfield, 20-7, in the Central Jersey Group 2 semifinals.

 

Nyzier Matthews, Jr., DB, Brick Memorial

-Intercepted a pass and caught three passes for 126 yards and two touchdowns on offense in the Mustangs’ 41-21 win over Jackson Memorial in the Central Jersey Group 4 semifinals.

 

Ryan Scannell, Sr., LB, Point Beach

-Recorded a career-high 17 tackles with one tackle for loss in the Garnet Gulls’ 26-22 win over Buena.

 

Cam Thomas, Sr., DB, Toms River North

-Intercepted two passes in the fourth quarter and recorded five tackles when the Mariners rallied for 21-14 win over Kingsway in the South Jersey Group 5 semifinal. Thomas also had four catches for 80 yards and hauled in the game-tying and go-ahead touchdowns.

 

 

 

SPECIAL TEAMS

Derrick Boss and Tony Credle, Wall

-Credle blocked a field goal that Boss scooped up and returned 83 yards for a touchdown in the Crimson Knights’ 20-7 win over Haddonfield in the Central Jersey Group 2 semifinals.

 

Nasir Jackson, Sr., Toms River North

-Jackson returned a kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown in the Mariners’ 21-14 win over Kingsway. He added four tackles on defense and had two receptions for 25 yards.

 

John Mazzacco, Jr., Shore

-Kicked a 30-yard field goal and caught a touchdown pass in Shore’s 17-7 win over Woodbury in the Central Jersey Group 1 semifinals.

 

Tyler McDougall, So., St. John Vianney

-Returned a blocked punt 39 yards for a touchdown in the Lancers’ 41-10 win over Notre Dame in the first round of the Non-Public B state playoffs.

 

James Sobieski, Sr., Ocean

-Returned a punt 70 yards for a touchdown and caught four passes for 90 yards and a touchdown in a 42-28 loss to Raritan.

 

Calvin Videon-Perino, Jr., Point Boro

-Blocked a punt that set up a touchdown and also caught a 45-yard touchdown pass in the Panthers’ 49-14 win over Manchester in the South Jersey Group 2 semifinals.
