Sophomore quarterback Claire Gillespie threw three touchdown passes and Christianna Ishak had a touchdown catch and the game-sealing interception on defense as the Hornets (7-0, 7-0) topped the defending division champion Bulldogs (4-3, 4-2) for a crucial win that put them on the doorstep of the division title.
Junior Lia Gordon had what proved to be the game-winning touchdown catch on fourth down, and Audrey Franco added a receiving touchdown in the win.
Middletown South 34, Long Branch 6
The Eagles (5-1, 5-1) picked up a win over the Green Wave (0-5, 0-5) behind four touchdown passes and a touchdown run from senior quarterback Cam Czwakiel.
Czwakiel touchdown passes of 38 and 55 yards to senior wideout Ava Loucopoulos, a 12-yard scoring strike to sophomore Helana Thompson and a 41-yard yard TD to senior Kaleigh Kapler. She also ran for a 38-yard touchdown run. Kapler also had an extra point catch and Thompson had a 2-point conversion catch from Czwakiel.
Argie Loucopoulos added an interception in the win for the Eagles.

Trinity Hall 47, Neptune 13
Sophomore quarterback Sonia DeRosa went 21-f0r-27 passing for 246 yards and five touchdowns while also registering three interceptions on defense, including a 21-yard pick six, to help the unbeaten Monarchs (6-0, 6-0) take a big step toward locking down the Central Division title with a win over the Scarlet Fliers (3-2, 3-2).
Five different receivers caught touchdown passes for Trinity Hall. Niamh Stapleton had a 23-yard scoring grab and two extra point catches, Maddie Rigney finished with six catches for 90 yards, a touchdown and an extra point catch, Chloe Ciccone had three catches and a touchdown, Maddie Dougherty had five catches for 59 yards and a touchdown and Emily Venezia had a touchdown catch and an extra point catch. Dougherty also ran for a 1-yard touchdown in the win.
Neptune quarterback Jacenia Furman threw a 66-yard touchdown pass to Nylah Sapp and a 69-yard touchdown pass to Lana Ellington in the loss.
Colts Neck 20, Freehold Township 0
Olivia Brown had a rushing touchdown, a punt return for a score and an interception to help the Cougars (6-2, 6-2) win their fourth straight game by blanking the Patriots (3-4, 3-4).
Victoria Beninato had an interception return for a touchdown and six flag pulls to lead the defense, and Amanda Garfield added five flag pulls.

Senior quarterback Payton Smith completed 19-of-22 passes for 270 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 35 yards and a touchdown on seven carries, as the Rebels (4-4) defeated the Mustangs (3-5). Senior wideout Leila Shaw hauled in three receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown. Senior wideout Gabia Grigaliunas caught four receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown. Freshman wideout Sydney Petralia had two receptions for 49 yards and a touchdown as well as a 1-point conversion. Junior wideout Claire DeCuicies made two catches for 15 yards and a touchdown. Sophomore Gabriella Robertozzi recorded three sacks. Sophomore Layla Carpenter recorded an interception and five tackles. Junior ZoeLilly Ficcorelli recorded a sack and eight tackles. Junior Valentina Roco recorded a sack and four tackles.
