Holmdel 35, Long Branch 0

Sophomore quarterback Claire Gillespie completed 12-of-14 passes for 201 yards and three touchdowns, as the Hornets (8-1, 8-1) blanked the Green Wave (0-7, 0-7). Junior wideout Lia Gordon rushed twice for 24 yards and a touchdown. Senior wideout Maya Houston hauled in four receptions for 67 yards and a touchdown. Freshman Ella Roche caught two receptions for 38 yards and a touchdown. Sophomore wideout Quinn Smigelsky caught a 66-yard touchdown reception and returned an interception for a touchdown. Senior LB Audrey Franco recorded two sacks, while Roche and junior safety Amanda Harrington recorded one sack. Gordon, Houston, freshman DB Shayla Shah, and freshman Caitlin Lavin each recorded an interception.

The Hornets clinched no worse than a share of the North Division title. In order to win outright, they would need Middletown South to lose their final game against Raritan.

Middletown South 32, St. John Vianney 7

Senior wideout Ava Loucopoulos scored four touchdowns and a 1-point conversion to lead the Eagles (7-1, 7-1) past the Lancers (4-4, 4-4). Loucopoulos scored on touchdown receptions of 31, 22, and five yards, in addition to returning an interception 45 yards for a touchdown and catching a 1-point conversion. Senior quarterback Cameryn Czwakiel tossed three touchdown passes, returned a punt 68 yards for a touchdown, and completed 1-point conversions to Loucopoulos and sophomore Helena Thompson.

The Eagles can clinch a share of the North Division title with a victory over Raritan tomorrow.

Rumson-Fair Haven 12, Middletown North 7

Central

Neptune 40, Ranney 0

Junior Lana Ellington rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown, in addition to hauling in a 30-yard touchdown reception, as the Scarlet Fliers (4-3, 4-3) blanked the Panthers (0-7, 0-7). Junior Jacenia Furman rushed for 60 yards and two touchdowns.

Red Bank Catholic at Marlboro, 4 p.m.

Shore 40, Manalapan 27

Junior quarterback Grace Ascolese threw for 203 yards and four touchdown passes, as the Blue Devils (5-3, 5-3) defeated the Braves (2-4, 2-4) in a shootout. Ascolese rushed 11 times for 69 yards and a 5-yard touchdown. Freshman wideout Sydney Tilton hauled in five receptions for 103 yards including touchdown receptions of 58 and 19 yards. Tilton also returned a punt 40 yards for a touchdown. Freshman Brutman Liliana caught a 5-yard touchdown. Senior Eve Kakiashvili caught a 7-yard touchdown. Brutman recorded a sack on defense, while Tilton came away with two interceptions and Ascolese recorded one interception.

Freshman quarterback Giuliana Alfano tossed four touchdowns in the loss. Junior wideout Kyra Greenberg hauled in nine receptions for 153 yards and three touchdowns. Senior wideout Guilianna Naletilic caught three receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown. Freshman Scarlett Ziobro recorded two sacks.

Red Bank Catholic 27, Marlboro 6

Colts Neck 24, Freehold Boro 0

Freshman Daryn Heal rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown, as the Cougars (8-2, 7-2) blanked the Colonials (1-6, 1-6). Junior Liv Brown and freshman Ashley Tiedemann also each added a touchdown. Junior Victoria Beninato intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown.

Trinity Hall 26, Freehold Township 6

Sophomore quarterback Sonia DeRosa tossed three touchdown passes and rushed for 46 yards on four carries, as the Monarchs (8-0, 8-0) prevailed over the Patriots (3-5, 3-5). Senior wideout Maddie Rigney hauled in six receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown. Freshman wideout Maddie Dougherty caught five receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 34 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Freshman Bette Kane recorded two receptions for 36 yards and a touchdown. Rigney and sophomore Tatum Morrison recorded two sacks, while Dougherty added one sack. Seniors Chloe Ciccone and Niamh Stapleton each recorded an interceptions on defense.

The Monarchs clinched the outright Central Division title.

South

Barnegat 40, Manchester 0

The Bengals (8-0, 8-0) remained unbeaten by blanking the Hawks (1-8, 1-8) as sophomore quarterback Camila Chamorro went 14-for-18 for 250 yards and two touchdowns passing while also running for 85 yards on four carries to lead the way.

Sierra Parrott added 82 yards rushing and a touchdown on just six carries, and Victoria Hoffman led the receivers with six catches for 99 yards and a touchdown. Julia Giangregorio also had a touchdown catch.

Natalya Novitsky led the defense with six tackles and Jenna Chamberlain added five.

Pinelands 27, Brick Memorial 0

Senior quarterback Heidi Cyphert tossed three touchdown passes, two to sophomore wideout Bianca Farias and one to senior wideout Bree McCorry, as the Wildcats (7-1, 7-1) blanked the Mustangs (4-5, 4-5). Senior defrensive back Jayla Kline returned an interception for a touchdown.

The Pinelands defense has now recorded six shutouts on the season.
