Shore Conference releases 2025 football division alignment

The Shore Conference released its division alignments for the 2025 season on Wednesday, adding an eighth division and changing the number of teams in each division.

The new division is class D South, which will feature Keansburg, Keyport, New Egypt, Point Beach and Monmouth Regional. Five of the eight divisions will have five teams and three will have six teams. This fall, the seven divisions each had six teams other than Class D North, which had seven teams.

The division alignment is based on strength of program and geography.

The biggest mover was Holmdel, which went from Class C North to Class A North. The Hornets, led by standout junior quarterback Jack Cannon, went 8-2 and won the Class C North division championship.

The Shore Conference will release its schedule in January. Dates and times will be assigned by the schools. Week 0 begins on Aug. 29 for the 2025 season with the NJSIAA playoffs starting on Halloween for the public schools and on Nov. 7 for the non-public schools.
