#1 St. John Vianney 9, Morris Catholic 1

Junior pitcher Madison McDougall led St. John Vianney (3-0) to an impressive win over Morris Catholic (1-2) who is ranked #10 in New Jersey according to NJ Advance Media. McDougall struck out 12 batters and allowed just 2 hits and 1 walk in 7 innings. Sophomore Emma Fitterer was 2 for 4 with 5 RBI’s. Freshman Olivia Lombardi was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s and a walk. Sophomore Mia Favato also had an RBI. Junior Gabby Gonzalez was 3 for 4 including a double.

Immaculate Heart 3, #3 Red Bank Catholic 2

Red Bank Catholic (2-1) fell to Immaculate Heart (4-0) who is ranked #9 in New Jersey according to NJ Advance Media. The Caseys jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the 1st inning. Immaculate Heart scored their first run in the 3rd inning before adding 2 more runs in the 5th inning and holding on for the win. Senior Lily Hagan had an RBI for the Caseys while Senior Nicole Knox, Sophomore Grace Lombardi, Junior Jayden Kane, and Senior Sophia Lasater each hit a single. Hagan also struck out 5 batters on the mound and allowed just 2 earned runs on 4 hits and 1 walk.
