See who was voted Week 3 Shore Conference Girls Soccer Player of the Week
Each week, Shore Sports Insider will give the fans of the Shore Conference a chance to pick the Player of the Week from the last seven days. Below, we have selected a player of the week from each of the seven Shore Conference divisions, plus three wild cards — all of whom are candidates in this week’s contest. Read about the 10 nominees from Week 3 (Sept. 16 through Sept. 21) and vote at the bottom of the post for the one that deserves to be the overall Girls Soccer Player of the Week. Vote once per hour until the poll closes Thursday at 10 p.m.

Week 3 Player of the Week Fan Voting 9/16 to 9/21
Class A North
Makenzie Memmolo, Howell
Memmolo put on a show against division rival Manalapan. Trailing 2-0 in the second half, Memmolo scored three unanswered goals to give Howell the win and keep them undefeated. Later in the week she had an assist in a 2-1 victory over ranked St. John Vianney.
Class A Central
Ella Curran, Rumson-Fair Haven
Curran posted two shutouts last week, including making 8 saves in a 2-0 win over division rival Ocean Township. She held the dangerous offense of Manalapan to one goal and made five saves against them.
Class A South
Abby Hannemann, Point Boro
Hannemann has been a focal point of the Panthers offense since the start of the season. Last week she finished with three goals and four assists. She scored both goals in Point Boro’s win against Holmdel and followed that by assisting all three goals against Toms River North.
Class B North
Shea Patmore, Freehold Boro
Patmore scored four goals and added an assist last week in Freehold Boro’s first two wins of the season. Patmore assisted the game winning goal against Matawan in a Class B North match-up. She followed that with a four goal performance in a SCT Group game.
Class B Central
Brooke Davis, Ranney
Davis has quietly moved up the leaderboard for goals scored this season, scoring a hat trick in four games this season. Last week she scored a hat trick in all three games and added two assists.
Class B South
Kaia Buckley, Manchester
Buckley continues to impress in goal for Manchester and was a big factor in the Hawks upset win over then No. 1 Wall. Buckley made 18 saves in a 2-1 victory for Manchester. She followed that with 16 saves against division rival Point Beach.
Class C South
Brinley Reynolds, Southern
Freshman Brinley Reynolds continues to put up big numbers this season, scoring six goals and adding an assist last week. In the SCT Group game against Holmdel, Reynolds scored a goal and had an assist in a 2-2 tie. She scored her first career hat trick against Brick Township in a Class C South victory.
Wild Cards
Sofia Chaknis, Middletown North
Chaknis had a big week on the offensive end of the field, scoring four goals and assisting on two others. Chaknis’s biggest goal came in overtime against Colts Neck to give the Lions the victory.
Danielle Howard, Freehold Township
Howard has helped the Patriots rebound from their 0-4 start this season. Last week she started the week with two goals against Brick Township in a SCT Group game. Howard followed that with a goal and an assist against division rival Red Bank Catholic in a 2-0 victory. She ended the week with a goal and three assists against Manchester.
Gianna Berkley, Jackson Memorial
Berkley had a big week for the Jaguars helping them go 2-0-1 on the week. She also posted shutouts in all three of Jackson Memorial’s games. Berkley had 11 saves against Brick Memorial in a double overtime draw.
