Week 4 Shore Sports Insider Girls Basketball Players of the Week

Each week, Shore Sports Insider will recognize the top girls basketball performers in each of the eight Shore Conference divisions and nominate those eight for the weekly SSI Player of the Week Award. Four wild cards will also be part of the contest, giving the basketball fans of the Jersey Shore 12 candidates to choose from every week.

Read about this weeks honorees and vote in the poll at the bottom of the post for the best as this week’s Player of the Week. Vote once per hour until the poll closes Saturday at 10 p.m. The winner will receive a gift card to Broad Street Dough Co., with New Jersey locations in Oakhurst, Wall and Freehold.

 

 

Class A Central

Jada Lynch, St. Rose

Lynch had a second straight stellar week for the Purple Roses. Lynch averaged 18 points in three games including a 25 point, 14 rebound game against Bayonne. Lynch reached the 1,000 point milestone in that game.

 

Class A Coastal

Addy Nyemchek, Red Bank Catholic

Nyemchek continues to lead RBC in most statistical categories. She averaged 15 points in four games including 21 points and 7 rebounds against the #1 team in New Jersey, Morris Catholic. 

 

Class A North

Grace Feeney, Trinity Hall

Feeney’s solid 2024-2025 season continued last week. Feeney averaged 18 points over five games and had 27 points and 7 rebounds against Holmdel. 

 

Class A South

Emma Christensen, Central

Christensen had a very productive week for the Golden Eagles. Christensen averaged 14 points over four games including a 24 point and 8 rebound game against No. 6 Howell.

 

Class B Central

Vanessa Haas, Point Boro

Haas, the senior workhorse for the Panthers, averaged 14 points over 4 games last week. She posted a double-double, 15 points and 10 rebounds, against New Egypt.  

 

Class B Coastal

Gabrielle Flanzbaum, Keansburg

Flanzbaum makes it three straight weeks a Keansburg player is player of the week in Class B Coastal. Flanzbaum averaged 16 points over three games for the Titans and posted a double-double against Koinonia with 18 points and 10 rebounds.  

 

Class B North

Christina Sikaris, Freehold Boro

Sikaris continued her great play last week for the Colonials, averaging 20 points over four games. Against Sayreville she posted a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds.  

 

Class B South

Zemirah Enalls, Barnegat

Enalls is Class B South player of the week for the second straight week. In her first high school season she continues to impress people with her game. Enalls averaged 14 points and 17 rebounds over four games, including 20 points and 18 rebounds against Toms River South. 

 

Wild Cards

Taylor Sofilkanich, St. John Vianney

Sofilkanich, a junior, had a great four game span for the Lady Lancers. She averaged 12 points a game and had a 13 point and 13 rebound double-double against Middletown South.

 

Reese Fiore, Shore Regional

Fiore, a senior, averaged 16 points per game over a four game span for the Blue Devils. Fiore scored a season-high 30 points against Raritan on six 3-pointers made. 

 

Gabby Parker, Freehold Township

Parker, a Bucknell commit for soccer, led the Patriots to a 3-0 week and averaged 17 points a game. Against Long Branch she scored 21 points to lead the way and then reached the 1,000 point milestone against Morris Knolls. 

 

Olivia Shaughnessey, Manasquan

Shaughnessey, a Loyola Maryland commit, led the Warriors to a 3-0 week. The senior averaged 13 points over that span, including a 13 points in a win against No. 5 Red Bank Regional at the Boardwalk Showcase
