24 Shore Teams Will Be in Action at the Vinny Curry Rush 2 Victory All-Shore 7-on-7 Classic
If you’re looking to get an early glimpse at the returning talent and exciting new faces from more than half of the Shore Conference in one place, the upcoming Vinny Curry Rush 2 Victory Foundation All Shore 7-on-7 Classic has you covered.
There will be 24 teams out of the 42-team Shore Conference competing for supremacy at Monmouth Regional High School on Tuesday, July 7, starting at 3 p.m. The event is sponsored by Vinny Curry’s Rush 2 Victory Foundation, which is run by the former Neptune and Marshall star and retired NFL defensive lineman, who won a Super Bowl ring with the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2017 season.
“Obviously I grew up here and played here, so any time the Shore needs something from me and I can give back in this way, it’s a blessing,” Curry said. “One of these kids of the future might be giving back by the time my son is in high school.”
Curry, whose 9-year-old star Noah is a budding star in the youth ranks, added that he hopes to expand it to a three-day event in the future. He would like to include a “Big Man Challenge” in which linemen go head-to-head in drills and other competitions.
“Being that I’m a defensive lineman, I would love to get the linemen involved,” Curry said.
He also would like to add a girls flag football tournament featuring squads from the Shore Conference, which fielded 30 teams this past spring.
This year’s tournament will be giving out trophies to the champion and runner-up as well as offensive and defensive MVPs from the day’s action.
Tuesday’s 7-on-7 tournament features the following Shore Conference teams: Monmouth Regional, Long Branch, Lacey, New Egypt, Brick, Rumson-Fair Haven, St. John Vianney, Jackson Township, Howell, Freehold Boro, Freehold Township, Middletown South, Asbury Park, Ocean, Middletown North, Brick Memorial, Keansburg, Manchester, Colts Neck, Manalapan, Neptune, Marlboro, Pinelands and Holmdel.

It offers a chance to see returning All-Shore skill position stars like Freehold Township senior wide receiver Jake Schultzel, Holmdel junior wide receiver Anthony Serini and sophomore WR/DB Michael Todisco, Manalapan senior quarterback Cameron Desfosse, Neptune senior quarterback Caleb Brown-Mason, Rumson-Fair Haven running back Ryder Izzo and more.
The tournament also will give a glimpse at the up-and-coming stars and new faces who look to make an impact this fall, plus those with big shoes to fill. We’ll get our first look at the replacements for Holmdel superstar Jack Cannon at quarterback and Brick Memorial record-breaker Jason Lajara at quarterback.
