Non-Division

Long Branch 46, Asbury Park 32

Senior Josh Da Cruz scored 15 points to go with 10 rebounds, three assists and four blocked shots, which paced the Green Wave (3-5) to a win over the Blue Bishops (0-6) that completed a season-sweep for Long Branch vs. Asbury Park.

Senior Andreas Herrara added 12 points and senior Quentin Fisher dished out six assists for Long Branch.

Barnegat 46, Neptune 38

Senior Donovan Paul scored 14 points to lead three Barnegat scorers in double-figures as the Bengals (5-3) took down the Scarlet Fliers (2-5) on the road. Freshman Chancellor Joseph added 13 points and classmate Jack Haviland pitched in 10 for Barnegat. Senior Jordan Pierre matched Joseph with 14 points to lead Neptune.

Central 58, Brick 40

Senior Elijah Reeder led five Central players in double-figure scoring with 12 points and the Golden Eagles (5-3) rode a fast start to a win over the Green Dragons (1-8).

Sophomore Caden King scored 11 points and picked off three steals, while sophomore Jaxen Carter and juniors Derek Roth and Cijier Yates each chipped in 10 points for Central, which raced out to a 24-7 lead by the end of the first quarter. Roth also grabbed seven rebounds and distributed five assists.

Juniors Ryan Tufaro and Jamel Pitts each netted a game-high 14 points to lead Brick, which cut its deficit to 34-26 by halftime but could not overcome the first-quarter onslaught.

 

Non-Conference

Raritan 76, Academy Charter 36

Sophomore Aidan Mehmeti scored 10 points to lead all Raritan scorers as the Rockets (3-5) used 13 different scorers to approach 80 points while routing the Panthers (0-2).

Senior Ian Mullan, junior Eric Berg and junior Vincent Mascuzzio each added nine points, with Mullan also grabbing six rebounds for Raritan. Senior Anthony Barone contributed seven assists to go with his five points, while senior Anthony Fazioli also netted eight points in the win.
