(3) Montgomery 61, (2) Marlboro 49
Senior guard and University of Pennsylvania commit Ethan Lin scored a game-high 30 points and the Cougars (24-4) took over in the fourth quarter after trailing for most of the game to charge past the Mustangs (21-6) and into the sectional final against No. 1 Hillsborough.
Montgomery 6-foot-9 sophomore Shriyans Mallavarupa posted a triple-double with 10 points, 14 rebounds and 12 blocked shots.
Marlboro raced out to a 12-2 lead and senior Ajay Mathews hit a baseline fade-away in the final seconds of the third quarter to send the Mustangs to the fourth with a 39-38 lead. The game was tied, 43-43, early in the fourth, when Lin hit a tie-breaking three-pointer to put Montgomery up for good, 46-43.
Junior Dylan McEwan led Marlboro with 17 points, Mathews chipped in 13 and five assists, and junior Nolan Gong contributed 10 points, three assists and three steals in the loss.

Jack Toth and Aaron Feath each scored 15 points to lead an all-around offensive attack that helped the Raiders (22-7) overwhelm the Jaguars (18-7) and reach the sectional semifinal Friday vs. No. 3 Montgomery.
Senior Yaseer Johnson scored 14 points to lead Jackson while senior George Boley, senior Jimmy Pappalardo and sophomore Mi’Aire Anderson each added eight in the loss.
Central Jersey Group II
(7) Rumson-Fair Haven 67, (3) Ocean 58
Senior Luke Cruz scored a game-high 33 points, including 22 during the second half, during which the Bulldogs (19-8) took the game over, downed the Spartans (19-10) and secured a spot in the Central Group II championship game for the third straight season. Rumson will play at Manasquan in Friday’s title game, also for a third straight season.
Ocean led Rumson, 46-35, midway through the third quarter, when the Bulldogs rattled off a 14-5 run to end the quarter trailing just 51-49. Cruz did most of his damage in the third, during which he scored 14 of his points.
Senior Zach Halpern delivered 12 points off the bench, with nine coming in the second half, while classmate Blake Ahmann chipped in 11 for Rumson.
Rumson had to overcome 16 made three-pointers by Ocean, which accounted for 48 of the team’s 58 points in the game. Freshman Omar Ayyash hit five of them for a team-high 17 points, while sophomore Brody Bell hit four for 12 points and junior Justice Hodges knocked down three on the way to 11 points for the Spartans. Senior Aidan Saint Louis hit a pair of threes in the first quarter, but Rumson held him to two points the rest of the way. Ocean did not attempt a free throw in the game.
(5) Manasquan 42, (1) Wall 37
Senior Jack O’Reilly cleared out 22 rebounds to go with four points while junior Logan Cleveland and sophomore Luke Winn hit double-figures in scoring to lead the Warriors (16-9) to a win over the top-seeded Crimson Knights (21-3), sending Manasquan to the sectional finals for the seventh straight season.
Cleveland posted 11 points and six rebounds and Winn poured in 10 points off the bench, including eight in the second half and five during a 7-0 run that turned a 27-27 game into a 34-27 Manasquan lead with 3:46 to go.
Sophomore Kennedy Larned scored eight of his nine points in the first half and sophomore Sean Bilodeau added six for Manasquan, which will host No. 7 Rumson-Fair Haven in Friday’s sectional championship game — the third straight year the two rivals will meet in the Central Group II final at Manasquan.
Senior Brian McKenna led Wall with 14 points and five rebounds, with Dan Hennessy chipping in eight in the loss. Wall opened the fourth quarter on a 9-2 run to tie the game, 27-27, capped by a three-point play by senior Liam McKenna to even the score, 27-27.
