Sophomore pitcher Mackenna Savage struck out nine batters and allowed four hits and one walk as the Caseys (2-1, 2-1) bounced back from a loss to defeat the Cougars (1-1, 1-1). Sophomore LF Brooke Rodriguez went 1-for-4 with a walk and three RBI’s. Senior C Jayden Kane was 1-for-4 with a double, a walk, and two RBI’s. Savage finished 1-for-3 with two walks and an RBI. Junior 3B Lia Marks went 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Sophomore Jillian Heyser hit an RBI double in the loss.

Colonial

No. 9 Raritan 11, Freehold Township 1 (6 innings)

Sophomore Katelyn Ruta went 2-for-2 with a home run and two runs as the Rockets (2-1, 2-1) topped the Patriots (0-3, 0-3). Sophomore pitcher Lila Houlihan struck out five batters and allowed just two hits. Senior Izzy Garcia and junior Holly Bellofatto each had two RBI’s.

Matawan 8, Wall 2

Junior C Elyssa Jamandron went 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk, and three RBI’s as the Huskies (2-1, 2-1) prevailed over the Crimson Knights (1-3, 1-2). Senior CF Kate Martellite was 3-for-5 with two RBI’s. Freshman 1B Elizabeth Cammarata went 3-for-4 with two doubles. Senior pitcher Emma Kriegstein finished 2-for-3 with a double. Kriegstein struck out eight batters and allowed four hits and four walks in six innings.

Sophomore LF Eloise Plevier was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in the loss.

Junior LF Emily Figa went 3-for-6 with a triple and five RBI’s as the Dragons (1-1, 1-1) defeated the Green Wave (0-2, 0-2). Senior SS Jordan Mulhern was 1-for-3 with four RBI’s and two walks. 3B Leyla Sanchez finished 4-for-5 with three RBI’s. Senior pitcher Sicilia Booker was 2-for-5 at the plate with three RBI’s and a walk. Senior 1B Abbie Fischer went 1-for-3 with three walks and three RBI’s.

Sophomore 3B Pricilla Fiore went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, and an RBI in the loss. Junior 1B Ayana Gonzalez was 1-for-2 with a double, two walks, and an RBI.
