Shore Sports Insider Girls Lacrosse 2026 Week 3 Top 10 Rankings
1. Trinity Hall (4-0) Last Week: 3

One of the few teams to remain unscathed in the early going, the Monarchs finished the week 3-0, highlighted by an impressive victory against a state-ranked non-conference opponent in Haddonfield. They also dismantled Hill (PA) and Bridgewater-Raritan, which began the season ranked in NJ Advance Media’s top 20 poll. Juniors Chiara Donohue and O’Malley Eldridge are currently the top-scoring duo in the Shore Conference, combining for 43 goals in four games. Trinity Hall’s defense has also been fantastic, allowing only 5.5 goals per game so far and holding opponents to fewer than five goals in three contests. With the door to the top spot open after Rumson-Fair Haven’s loss to Manasquan, Trinity Hall now has an opportunity to enhance its resume with games against No. 5 Red Bank, No. 3 Manasquan, and Holy Spirit this week.
2. Middletown South (4-1) Last Week: 4

This is where the rankings get interesting, as the next several teams have all lost at least one game. The Eagles’ win over Manasquan looks even better now after the Warriors defeated Rumson-Fair Haven. Middletown South followed with a 2-1 week, defeating a 4-1 Holmdel team on the bubble and dismantling Donovan Catholic. Sandwiched in between the wins was a one-goal loss to unranked Shore, currently 2-4 and sitting on the bubble. So why are they number two? Middletown South has the best win on paper, going on the road to defeat Manasquan, 7-6. Manasquan defeated Rumson-Fair Haven, who defeated Red Bank, who defeated Southern, who defeated Barnegat. The majority of those games were close, and you could conceivably make an argument for any of those teams, but for now, the Eagles are rewarded for a quality win, not punished for a loss to a Shore team that is better than its record.
Junior Hayley Jamison is a shining star on Middletown South’s offense, leading the Eagles with 18 goals and 6 assists. Sophomore Ashley Penn is breaking out with 18 goals of her own. The Eagles have also defended well, allowing just over six goals a game. As a result, Middletown South enters a critical stretch: they take on No. 6 Southern Regional today, face crosstown rival Middletown North tomorrow, and play No. 5 Red Bank on Thursday.
3. Manasquan (4-2) Last Week: 5
It did not take long for new head coach Rachel Lazda to pick up a signature win for the Warriors. Beating Rumson-Fair Haven was a massive boost, allowing the Warriors to climb the rankings. Manasquan also picked up a win against Holy Spirit. They were not punished for their loss to Moorestown, which was ranked third in the state in the latest NJ Advance Media poll. Sophomore Chloe Stevens has been finding the net regularly, with 17 goals on the season. Junior Dylan Carnahan has been consistent, putting up 15 points (8 G, 7 A) and has played well defensively. Junior Sarah Sharpe has gotten off to a hot start with 17 points (12 G, 5 A). Manasquan hosts a dangerous Shore team today before they travel to Trinity Hall on Thursday to try to take out the top-ranked team two weeks in a row.
4. Rumson Fair Haven (3-1) Last Week: 1

The Bulldogs dropped a few spots after falling to No. 3 Manasquan. It would be a mistake to write off this iteration of the Bulldogs too soon, as they are the same team that defeated Lawrenceville earlier in the week and holds wins over Westfield and No. 5 Red Bank. Junior Chloe Kelly continues to impress as one of the best players in the entire conference. Kelly has 21 points in just 4 games (14 G, 7 A). Junior attacker Reese Lydon has also stepped up this year, scoring seven goals and adding three helpers. The biggest thing to observe for the Bulldogs as this year progresses is who can emerge as the secondary scoring option next to Kelly. The Bulldogs are still a bit inexperienced after losing a stellar senior class last year. Expect the Bulldogs to get better as the year goes on and to continue evolving. Rumson-Fair Haven plays No. 6 Southern and Bridgewater-Raritan this week as they look to bounce back.
5. Red Bank (4-1) Last Week: 6

It was a statement week for the Bucs as they picked up two huge victories over No. 6 Southern and No. 10 Point Boro. Brooke Connell’s squad features one of the best three-headed monsters in the Shore Conference: the Bucs’ senior trio of attacker Chloe Keating, midfielder Karlie Ruland, and defender/midfielder Kathleen Deverin. Keating has been celebrating goals frequently as she leads the team with 17 and has five helpers. Ruland has been sensational this year with 22 points (15 G, 7 A). She has also won 16 draws and forced nine turnovers. Deverin, who is operating more as a midfielder than a defender this year, has already surpassed a career high in points with 15 (6 G, 9 A). The Bucs have a gauntlet this week as they play No.1 Trinity Hall today and play No.2 Middletown South on Thursday.
6. Southern (4-1) Last Week: 2

The Rams fell the furthest this week after going 1-1, which included a ranked win over Barnegat and a loss to No. 5 Red Bank. The chain of events in which each team ranked 2 to 5 defeated the team below it affects the Rams the most. Sophomore Mackenzie Sininsky has scored 24 points (13 G, 11 A), accounting for two/thirds of the Rams’ 36 goals. Senior attacker has been the secondary weapon with 11 points (8 G, 3 A). Southern will have multiple opportunities to move right back up on this list as they host No.2 Middletown South today and No.4 Rumson-Fair Haven on Thursday.
7. Central (4-0) Last Week: 7

It was another perfect week for the Golden Eagles, highlighted by a ranked win over No. 9 Manalapan and another over Freehold Township. Central has been unstoppable, notching 59 goals in just four games. Sophomore Addison Frulio has led the way with 22 goals, eight assists, 33 draw controls, and 18 forced turnovers. Senior Brianna Nelson has scored 18 goals, while junior Logan Lisewski’s 12 goals give Central a dynamic trio. Looking ahead, Central faces a tough week against bubble teams Toms River East and Holmdel, as well as a ranked showdown with No. 10 Point Boro.
8. Barnegat (4-1) Last Week: 8

The Bengals went 2-1 for the week, beating Marlboro and Wall but losing a hard-fought game to No. 6 Southern. They continue to look strong, getting great production from juniors Ella Tortorici and Sadie Guiro. Tortorici is excelling on both sides, with stats in the 20s in every category except assists. Guiro has been a steady all-around contributor, ranking second on the team in goals. Barnegat hosts No. 9 Manalapan today before closing the week against Lacey and Toms River North.
9. Manalapan (5-1) Last Week: 9

The Braves went 2-1 with wins over Ocean and Middletown North before losing to No.7 Central. Manalapan has a high-octane offense, ranking first in the Shore Conference with 91 goals. Leading the way is junior Aryelle Stein, who is putting up video game numbers this year with a staggering 35 goals, eight assists, and 46 draw controls. Senior Madison Alcantara is right there with Stein in terms of production, tallying 25 goals and nine assists on the season. Looking ahead, Manalapan has the potential to move up if it can beat No. 8 Barnegat on the road today before facing Old Bridge and Red Bank Catholic.
10. Point Boro (3-2) Last Week: 10
Point Boro remains in the top 10 for a second straight week after a 2-1 stretch, recording wins over Toms River East and Freehold Township but falling to No. 5 Red Bank. Their earlier victory over Shore helps maintain their strong ranking despite the recent loss. Junior Aubrey Gilbert and senior Lily Scalabrini have scored 13 and 11 goals, respectively. This week, the Panthers face Lacey and No. 7 Central.
