No. 2 Donovan Catholic 14, Central 2

Leading 1-0 going into the 3rd inning, Donovan (8-0, 6-0) scored six runs in top of the 3rd on their way to a division victory over Centra (5-3, 2-3). Senior Isabella Maria went 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored. Maryland commit Isabella Cino went 3-for-3 with two RBI’s. Gylian Hixenbaugh struck out seven batters to earn the win.

Jaelynn Witte and Kayla Fedor both singled in a run for Central.

Southern 5, Jackson 0

Point Boro 8, Pinelands 7

Senior 3B Cassidy Supplee went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI’s, as the Panthers (2-5, 2-4) edged the Wildcats (2-6, 1-5). Sophomore OF Lindsey Jamieson was 2-for-4 with a double.

Sophomore pitcher Rory Krier went 1-for-2 with two RBI’s and two walks at the plate in the loss.

Independence

No. 7 Barnegat 3, Toms River East 1

Junior pitcher Gianna Gomez struck out 14 batters and allowed just five hits, as the Bengals (8-0, 6-0) defeated the Raiders (4-2, 4-2). Senior LF Eva Watts went 2-for-3 with two RBI’s. Junior RF Tristian Zalewski was 1-for-3 with an RBI. Senior CF Brianna Dato and sophomore 2B Brooke Rizzo each batted 2-for-3.

“It feels pretty great knowing that everybody in our line-up one through nine can hit the ball,” Gomez said. “We can all get on base and put the ball in play and score some runs.”

Senior LF Addison Gallagher went 1-for-3 with an RBI double in the loss. Junior pitcher Kylie Paladino struck out six batters and allowed seven hits and a walk.

Brick Memorial 13, New Egypt 10

Toms River South 8, Point Beach 2

Sophomore 1B Mikayla Lindemann batted 2-for-3 with a two-run home run to center field, a walk, and four RBI’s, as the Indians (5-2, 4-2) topped the Garnet Gulls (3-5, 1-4). Sophomore SS Ella Fischer crushed a solo home run and walked. Junior LF Aubrey Coulson finished 2-for-4 with an RBI. Senior pitcher Brooke Hopkins struck out two batters and allowed seven hits.

Liberty

Toms River North 11, Lacey 1 (5 innings)

Freshman pitcher Julianna Garofalo struck out 10 batters and allowed just two hits and two walks, as the Mariners (5-1, 5-0) stifled the Lions (2-6, 2-2). Senior 1B Dalylia Lyon went 1-for-3 with a walk, a home run, and two RBI’s. Sophomore 3B Alexa Iovine batted 3-for-3 with two RBI’s. Senior CF Camryn Lynch was 2-for-4 with two RBI’s.

Sophomore 2B Jailyn Farris went 1-for-2 with an RBI in the loss.

Manchester 12, Red Bank 2 (6 innings)

Sophomore LF Christine Flanagan went 4-for-5 with three RBI’s, as the Hawks (4-3, 3-2) beat the Bucs (1-6, 0-5). Junior pitcher Kassandra O’Neill struck out five batters and allowed five hits and a walk. O’Neill also went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI’s at the plate. Freshman RF Isabella Cellini-Winters finished 2-for-4 with two RBI’s. Junior Annabelle Gray batted 2-for-4 with a triple.

Sophomore C Abby Marrin went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI’s in the loss.

Trinity Hall 8, Rumson-Fair Haven 6

Sophomore 1B Brooke Werdann went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI’s, as the Monarchs (3-2, 2-1) defeated the Bulldogs (0-2, 0-2). Junior pitcher Emma Mullins struck out nine batters and allowed just one hit in four innings of action. Mullins also went 3-for-3 with a walk at the plate.

Junior 2B Melanie Parker was 2-for-3 with two RBI’s in the loss.

Non-Division

Monmouth 15, Long Branch 0 (4 innings)

Senior pitcher Jordan Diefes struck out nine batters and allowed just one hit and two walks, as the Falcons (3-4) routed the Green Wave (0-6). Sophomore SS Ava Ciccone batted 1-for-3 with a 3-RBI double. Layla Yamello was 3-for-3 with a walk and two RBI’s. Senior C Emma Riccardi went 2-for-3 with a walk and a double. Junior LF Tegan Aleski finished 2-for-2 with a double, a walk, and two RBI’s.
