At St. Joseph’s Hammonton High School

No. 2 Donovan Catholic 12, Gloucester Tech 1 (5 innings)

The Griffins (12-0) rolled over the Cheetahs (6-5) behind three home runs from three different players. Senior pitcher Caroline Kopp was 3-for-4 at the plate with four RBI’s including a two-run home run to left field. Kopp also struck out five batters and allowed only a hit and four walks. Senior C Jaelynn Nunez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run to left field. Senior RF Madison Kelliher also crushed a two-run home run to center field. Senior CF Isabella Maria batted 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBI’s.

Non-Division

No. 9 Raritan 8, No. 3 Middletown South 2

Junior SS Holly Bellofatto went 3-for-4 with a 3-run shot and an RBI double, as the Rockets (9-4) stunned the Eagles (8-4). Junior 2B Janelle Clausi was 2-for-3 and scored three runs. Junior pitcher Payton Fleming struck out four batters and allowed four hits and a walk in four innings to earn the win. Sophomore pitcher Katelyn Ruta struck out two batters and and allowed only one hit and two walks in three innings of relief.

Sophomore RF Quinnlynn Heaney hit an RBI triple in the loss. Junior shortstop Riley Smith hit an RBI single and walked. Smith, who is the primary starting pitcher, pitched less than one inning.

Freehold Boro 8, Pinelands 3

Freshman 1B Jackie Russo went 2-for-2 with a double, two walks, and two RBI’s, as the Colonials (9-5) topped the Wildcats (6-9). Sophomore LF Julia Mariconda was 1-for-2 with a walk and two RBI’s. Freshman 3B Kayla Lloyd finished 1-for-3 with an RBI single and a walk. Junior Paige Sheridan went 3-for-4 with a double and scored two runs.

Senior 3B Audra Daniel went 2-for-4 with an RBI in the loss. Senior C Aubrey Britton and junior junior 1B Kendall Falduto each had an RBI single.

Ocean 19, Point Beach 0

New Egypt 10, Holy Cross 8

Freshman Samantha Garcia went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI’s, as the Warriors 6-6) defeated the Lancers (2-12). Senior Samantha Potts was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI’s. Sophomore Kylie White batted 2-for-3 with an RBI. Sophomore Caroline Davis finished 2-for-4 with a double and scored three runs.
