Rumson-Fair Haven Captures 11th Shore Conference Boys Lacrosse Championship

Rumson-Fair Haven won their conference record 11th Shore Conference Tournament Championship with a 9-8 win over CBA.

Senior attacker Blake Ahmann netted three goals, as the Bulldogs (14-6) held off a late rally from the Colts (14-6) to win their record 11th Shore Conference Tournament title.

A goal from Jackson Chaney was waved off in the 4th quarter due to a crease violation. Junior defender Danny Sullivan took the ensuing possession coast-to-coast and gave the Bulldogs a 9-5 lead. CBA fought back in the waning minutes with three goals from senior attacker Caden Lucich, sophomore midfielder Danny Varone, and sophomore attacker Jackson Chaney, but the Bulldogs were able to get one final stop with 14 seconds remaining and run out the clock.

Sophomore midfielder Teddy Whitehouse scored two goals in the win. Senior attacker Luke Lydon, sophomore Kevin Collard, sophomore Michael Marino, and Sullivan all added a goal.

Varone scored a team-high three goals in the loss. Lucich finished with two goals. Junior FOGO John Little, junior midfielder Christian Fox, and Chaney finished with one goal.
