Brick Memorial OL/DL Jaxon Pacheco Commits to Stetson

Brick Memorial senior Jaxon Pacheco, one of the Shore Conference’s top linemen, announced on Tuesday that he has verbally committed to play at Stetson University.

The 6-foot-2, 300-pound senior, who is a two-way starter for the defending Central Jersey Group 4 champions, announced his commitment on Instagram(opens in new tab).

Pacheco was a Shore Sports Insider second-team All-Shore pick(opens in new tab) on the defensive line as junior after producing 41 tackles, seven sacks, and five tackles for a loss on the interior. He was named a first-team All-Class A South selection by the coaches.

“I’m especially grateful for my mom @footballmom2027 who has sacrificed more than I could ever put into words to help me get here, none of this would be happening without her, and I can’t wait to pay her back one day,” Pacheco wrote on Instagram. “Thank you to my family, trainers, coaches, teammates, friends, X & IG communities, and everyone who has supported and believed in me along the way. You all played a part in this journey. WE DID IT!”

Pacheco has 18 tackles, 7 for a loss, and 2 sacks this season for the Mustangs, who are ranked No. 3 in the Shore Sports Insider Top 12(opens in new tab). He also is a multi-year starter on the offensive line, where he plays right tackle.

Stetson, which is in Florida, is an FCS team that competes in the Pioneer League.
