Rosato is a two-way standout at running back and defensive back for the Eagles who had 75 tackles, 8 for a loss, 3 sacks, and 5 interceptions last season, while also running for 956 yards and 9 touchdowns on his way to earning All-Class A North honors from the coaches as a junior.
“He was a captain last year and is a three-year starter who’s really a leader on both sides of the ball,” Middletown South head coach Marc Tomo said. “We’re expecting him to be the guy to help us restore the standard of Middletown South, which has been a team mantra this year.”
Rosato is one of multiple Division 1 prospects on Middletown South. Six-foot-5 senior offensive lineman Brendan Roudi has received interest from FCS and FBS programs, while 6-foot-6 sophomore offensive lineman Will Renchsler has also drawn FCS interest.
Middletown South is coming off a 4-7 season and looks to be a top contender into the realigned Class B North division this fall.
