St. John Vianney Star WR Noah Fitzpatrick Has Transferred to Donovan Catholic
One of the most highly rated recruits from the Shore Conference Class of 2028 has switched schools before the end of this season.
St. John Vianney junior wide receiver Noah Fitzpatrick, who has four FBS offers, has transferred to Donovan Catholic, Griffins head coach Dan Curcione confirmed to Shore Sports Insider.
By transferring before the end of the season, Fitzpatrick avoids have to sit out any games next season as a senior due to the NJSIAA transfer rule. Senior transfers have to sit out a mandatory 22 days or one-third of the maximum number of games, according to the rule.
Ocean senior quarterback Jake Garrett made a similar move last season in transferring from Red Bank Catholic to the Spartans early in the season and did not have to sit out any games this year.

Fitzpatrick is considered one of the Shore’s top returning recruits. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound junior with an 80-inch wingspan has been offered by Temple, Penn State, UConn, and most recently, Wake Forest. His signature game this season was a three-touchdown effort against Cedar Creek in the season opener for the Lancers, who are 3-6 while competing in the loaded Class A North.
Fitzpatrick first shared the news on Tuesday night on Instagram by sharing a post about his transfer from NJ Athletics.
Donovan Catholic has 19 seniors, so Fitzpatrick will be part of a new-look Griffins team next year. Senior quarterback Kahden Davis, a Columbia commit, is graduating, so the main returning quarterback is sophomore Chris McClaren. He has started multiple games the past two seasons while Davis has been out with injuries.
