Brick 59, Jackson Liberty 45

Sophomore Jamel Pitts scored 18 points and the Green Dragons (5-7) had four players score at least nine points in a road win over the Lions (3-5).

Senior Jayden Johnson added 10 points and five assists, junior Matthew Goodfellow poured in 10 and sophomore Ryan Tufaro netted nine points while also taking three charges on defense.

Junior Aiden Brown scored 13 points to lead Jackson Liberty

Howell 45, Wall 39

Senior Peter Barkauskas scored 12 points and both senior Joe Vella and junior Mark Fagan hit key three-pointers in the final two minutes to lift the Rebels (5-5) to a significant road win over the Crimson Knights (9-3).

The win snaps Wall’s eight-game losing streak and gives Howell a win over a Crimson Knights team that entered Wednesday eighth in the Shore Conference in power-point average.

Fagan hit a three-pointer from the right wing to give Howell a 40-39 lead with just under two minutes to play and after a pair of missed free throws by Wall, Vella knocked down a corner three with just over a minute left to make it 43-39.

Senior Brian McKenna scored a game-high 17 points to lead Wall.

No. 7 Freehold Boro 78, Matawan 39

Senior Brian Tassey produced a triple-double with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists and the Colonials (8-5) doubled up the Huskies (4-8).

Senior Aidan Hamlin-Woolfolk and junior Mike Cush each poured in 14 points and senior Qua’Mir Everett added 10 for Freehold Boro, which pulled away with a 19-0 run during a 5:30 span between the first and second quarters to turn a 12-11 lead into a 31-11 advantage.

Senior Jayden Elijah led Matawan with 14 points and junior Colin Reitmann chipped in 10 in the loss.

Point Beach 55, Raritan 45

Junior Elijah Ives and sophomore Tyler Preston each scored 14 points and the Garnet Gulls (6-5) outlasted the Rockets (5-6) on the road. Sophomore George Breckenridge also scored eight points in the Point Beach win.

Junior Ian Mullan posted 14 points and seven rebounds while freshman Mario Diamantis chipped in 12 points to lead Raritan.
