No. 7 Southern 21, No. 10 Point Boro 14
The Rams (4-0, 2-0) built up a 21-point first-half lead and held off the Panthers (2-2, 0-2) late in a game played at Barnegat High School.
Senior quarterback Carson Abbato tossed a 55-yard strike to senior receiver Chris Raub, while junior running back Niko Iliescu ran for a 30-yard score and senior tailback Levi Foote scampered for a 65-yard touchdown.
Class C South
New Egypt 27, Freehold Boro 26 (OT)
Junior quarterback Thomas Marabuto scrambled for a 4-yard touchdown on a 4th down and freshman kicker Elijah Kennedy booted the game-winning extra point to lift the Warriors (2-2, 1-1) over the Colonials (0-4, 0-2).
Marabuto ran for a 15-yard touchdown and a 2-yard touchdown along with connecting with junior wideout Joe Snyder on a 58-yard touchdown pass.
In the loss, sophomore quarterback Adrian KrKuti found senior wideout Michael Tracey on a 30-yard and a 10-yard touchdown pass, in addition to rushing for touchdowns of five and one yard.
Keansburg 45, Lakewood 6
Junior running back Taurian Black ran for four touchdowns, and the defense forced five turnovers, as the Titans (2-2, 2-0) routed the Piners (0-4, 0-2).
Point Beach 29, Keyport 6
The Garnet Gulls (3-1, 2-0) put up a big all-around performance in a double-digit victory over the Red Raiders (1-2, 1-1).
Junior running back Tommy Aiosa scored twice on the ground, and Point Beach also got rushing scores from senior running back Danny Neal and junior fullback Gage Boyle.
On the defensive side, Neal came up with an interception and fumble recovery, Boyle recorded double-digit tackles, and junior defensive back Noah Hengst picked off a pass.
Friday, September 18
Class A North
No. 6 Holmdel 28, St. John Vianney 14
Sophomore quarterback Tommy Fletcher threw three touchdown passes, as the Hornets (3-1, 1-1) bounced back to defeat the Lancers (1-3, 0-2).
Fletcher found senior wideout Michael Todisco on a 40-yard touchdown pass. Sophomore wideout Charles Murphy caught a 40-yard touchdown reception, while junior wideout Anthony Serini added a 20-yard touchdown catch. Todisco also scored on a 4-yard rushing touchdown.
No. 1 Red Bank Catholic 45, Manalapan 23
The Caseys (3-1, 2-0) won their third straight game — scoring at least 40 points in all three victories — with the latest coming over the Braves (2-2, 0-2) on Friday night.
Senior running back Jake Bickerton ran for three scores in the win, while sophomore quarterback Rahmir Rivera fired touchdown passes to junior receivers Ethan Kennedy and Jason Berecsky. Sophomore running back Gabe Kemp added over 100 yards on the ground, and sophomore kicker Simon Picinich nailed a 48-yard field goal to add to the scoring.
The defense put up a dominant effort as well, registering eight tackles for loss and recovering two fumbles.
Class A South
No. 5 Brick Memorial 24, No. 3 Toms River North 14
The Mustangs (3-1, 1-1) rumbled their way to victory, taking down the Mariners (3-1, 1-1) in a top-five showdown.
Senior tailback Colin Schoellkopf carried much of the offensive load, leading with a career-high 185 yards on 38 carries and two touchdowns.
Brick Memorial led 17-7 at the half and opened up its biggest lead of the night on a 75-yard punt return score from senior wideout Shawn Fowler early in the third quarter.

No. 2 Donovan Catholic 35, Jackson 0
Senior running back Alex Staten rushed for three touchdowns, as the Griffins (4-0, 2-0) blanked the Jaguars (2-2, 0-2). Freshman running back Carmelo Foendone added a rushing touchdown, while senior quarterback Kahden Davis connected with sophomore wideout Torrance Turner for a touchdown.
Class B North
Freehold Township 27, Matawan 24
The Patriots (2-2, 1-1) outlasted the Huskies (1-3, 0-2), led by four total touchdowns from senior quarterback Dakota Lasater.
Lasater found junior wideout Elijah Msomi twice for scores and senior receiver Jake Schultzel once.
The senior signal-caller also ran for a score.
No. 8 Middletown North 21, No. 11 Manasquan 14
Senior running back Matt Belenko recorded two one-yard touchdown runs and senior defensive back MJ Parulis blocked a punt that was recovered by junior linebacker Nick Panetta in the end zone for a touchdown, as the Lions (3-0, 2-0) topped the Warriors (2-2, 1-1).
In the loss, senior quarterback Kyle Dow found junior wideout Connor Lalli on a 31-yard touchdown pass, in addition to scoring on a one-yard quarterback sneak.
No. 12 Middletown South 31, Shore 7
Senior running back Justin Rosato rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns, in addition to recording an interception on defense, as the Eagles (2-2, 2-0) beat the Blue Devils (1-2, 0-2).
Junior running back Connor Leon finished with 85 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Junior kicker Jack DeLumeau converted on a field goal and finished a perfect 4-for-4 on extra points.
Class B South
Toms River South 19, Toms River East 13 (2 OT)
Brick 14, Central 7
Senior running back Rowan Foy rushed for two touchdowns and a two-point conversion to lead the Dragons (2-2, 1-1) past the Golden Eagles (0-4, 0-2).
Class C North
Raritan 20, Red Bank 15
Senior slotback Eric Berg ran for two touchdowns and senior quarterback Parker Needham added another, as the Rockets (3-1, 2-0) defeated the Bucs (1-3, 0-2).
Howell 38, Neptune 22
Junior running back Timmy O’Rourke rushed for two touchdowns, while junior quarterback Connor Acker tossed two touchdown passes, as the Rebels (2-1, 1-1) defeated the Scarlet Fliers (1-3, 0-2).
O’Rourke scored on touchdown runs of nine and eight yards. Acker found senior wideout John Bertan on a 53-yard touchdown and senior wideout Jackson Behn on a 17-yard touchdown.
Sophomore running back/linebacker John Gannon returned a punt 88 yards for a touchdown and recorded a 50-yard touchdown on an interception return.
Marlboro 34, Ocean 24
The Mustangs (3-1, 1-1) piled up five touchdowns on the ground in a win over the Spartans (2-2, 1-1). Senior quarterback Nick Dimino and senior running back Shaqur Richardson each scored two touchdowns. Senior running back Hudson Muhlbach also added a touchdown.
Class D North
Colts Neck 36, Asbury Park 6
The Cougars (2-2, 2-0) won their second straight game in the division, this one against the Blue Bishops (0-4, 0-2).
Sophomore running back Trevor Baum ran for two scores, while senior wideout Alex Policastro hauled in a touchdown pass through the air.
Fellow sophomore tailback Mike Lombardi added a rushing touchdown of his own, while also returning an interception for a score at linebacker.
Barnegat 55, Manchester 6
Junior running back Ryan Fitzpatrick ran for a 59-yard touchdown and returned a kickoff 84 yards for a touchdown, as the Bengals (4-0, 2-0) routed the Hawks (1-3, 0-2).
Sophomore wideout Chancellor Joseph hauled in a 60-yard touchdown pass from senior running back Chris Santero, in addition to returning a punt 42 yards for a touchdown. Senior quarterback Nick Malinowski plunged in a one-yard touchdown run. Senior running back Zimere Jackson ran for a 7-yard touchdown, while sophomore running back Iy’Mere Jackson added a 21-yard touchdown run.
Monmouth 49, Long Branch 7
Junior quarterback Ryan Corwin threw two touchdowns and ran for another, as the Falcons (4-0, 2-0) routed the Green Wave (1-3, 0-2). Corwin connected with senior wideout Sam Jackson and junior tight end Donovan Hicks on the touchdown passes.
Junior running back Brandon Thompson added two touchdown runs. Junior defensive back Matt Baffige recorded an interception. Junior wideout NaShad Fields returned a kickoff for a touchdown.
Thursday, September 17
Class A North
No. 4 Rumson-Fair Haven 35, No. 9 Wall 13
Junior quarterback Brady Williams accounted for five touchdowns, throwing for three and rushing for two, as the Bulldogs (4-0, 2-0) remained unbeaten with a victory over the Crimson Knights (2-2, 1-1).
Williams connected with senior wideout Michael Capra for a 13-yard touchdown, senior wideout Jason Tucker for a 34-yard score, and senior wideout Cole Spoonire for an 84-yard touchdown. He added touchdown runs of 26 and nine yards, while senior kicker Jackson Wile knocked through a 25-yard field goal.
Junior running back Michael Boulard provided both touchdowns for the Crimson Knights, finding the end zone on runs of 12 and one yard.
Class B South
Pinelands 13, Lacey 0
Senior quarterback Jamie Jenkins connected with senior wideout Anthony Bonds on a 29-yard touchdown pass, and junior running back RJ Clark barreled into the end zone on a 7-yard touchdown run, as the Wildcats (4-0, 2-0) blanked the Lions (2-2, 1-1) for their third shutout of the season.
