Class B North

St. John Vianney 7, Freehold Boro 1

Senior Kyle DiMarco and junior Mason Boles each posted two goals and two assists to lead a Lancers (2-1, 1-0) rout over the Colonials (2-4, 0-3).

Junior Alex Sinisalchi pitched in a goal and two assists while both Alex Cardenas and Shayan Katitaei each contributed a goal for St. John Vianney.

 

Non-Division

Neptune 4, St. Rose 0

Senior Kenny Northrup scored a goal in each half and the Scarlet Fliers (2-3) rolled to a win over the Purple Roses (1-5). Northrup scored the lone goal of the first half before completing his brace in the second half.

Junior Irving Rojas Quiroz and senior Julian Lemus each scored in Neptune’s three-goal second half the put the game away. senior Ivan Quiroz, junior Joey Taylor and junior Harin Gutierrez Moreno each contributed an assist in the well-balanced Neptune attack.

Holmdel 0, Middletown South 0

Holmdel sophomore goalkeeper Brian Ilewski made six of his nine saves during a first-half barrage from Middletown South and the Hornets (2-1-1) rounded into form in time to escape with a draw vs. the host Eagles (3-1-1).

Middletown South owned a 10-1 advantage in shots through the first 45 minutes and that lone Holmdel shot came directly off the kick-off. Stepan Kapranov blasted the ball and the wind carried it toward the goal before Middletown South goalkeeper Carson Perry pushed it up off the crossbar before retrieving it.

Both teams got off shots in the second overtime period that barely missed the frame. Jack Cohen fired just wide of the left post from 30 yards out for Middletown South’s best chance. In the 98th minute, Nate Koenig one-timed a cross from Kapranov just over the crossbar.

Asbury Park 2, Lakewood 0

Sophomore Dain Salazar scored two goals in the first half and the Blue Bishops blanked the Piners.
