2025 Shore Sports Insider All-Shore Football Second Team
SECOND TEAM ALL-SHORE
Offense
QB – Cameron Desfosse, Jr., Manalapan
Named the Class B North Offensive Player of the Year by the coaches, Desfosse threw for 1,634 yards and 16 touchdowns with four interceptions and also ran for 347 yards and two touchdowns in his first year as the starter.
QB – Caleb Brown-Mason, Jr., Neptune
Brown-Mason blossomed into a star in his second year as the starter, earning All-Class D North honors for the division champs with 1,100 yards and 17 touchdowns passing and 1,283 yards and 13 touchdowns rushing on an average of 9.6 yards per carry for a playoff team that went 9-2.
QB – Zach LaBarca, Sr., St. John Vianney
A second-team All-Shore selection as a junior, LaBarca was a first-team All-Class B North pick by the coaches after finishing with 1,532 yards and 15 touchdowns passing along with 510 yards rushing and four touchdowns for more than 2,000 total yards.
RB – Matt Belenko, Jr., Middletown North
Belenko finished with 1,237 yards rushing and 14 touchdowns and also had 19 catches for 156 yards on his way to earning first-team All-Class A North honors from the coaches. He had six 100-yard rushing games, with a career high of 235 in a win over Howell as the Lions reached the Central Jersey Group 4 final.
RB – Jonah Glenn, Sr., Jackson Twp.
A three-time All-Shore selection, Glenn racked up 1,008 yards and 11 touchdowns in eight games on an average of 7.6 yards per carry to earn All-Class A South honors from the coaches. He finished his career with 3,560 yards rushing and 33 touchdowns.
RB – Joey Davis, Jr., Lacey
Named the Class C South Player of the Year by the coaches, Davis finished with 1,044 yards and 13 touchdowns on 7.3 yards per carry, including five 100-yard games.
RB – Ah’sere Woolfolk, Sr., Manalapan
An All-Class B North pick by the coaches, Woolfolk had 634 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns along with 11 catches for 152 yards and a touchdown while splitting carries with junior Nick Palmieri for the Braves. He was a third-team All-Shore pick as a junior.
WR – Jack Viola, Sr., Middletown North
A first-team All-Class A North pick by the coaches, Viola had 52 catches for 801 yards and four touchdowns for a Lions team that reached the Central Jersey Group 4 final. He also was a standout in the secondary with 50 tackles, two for a loss, and an interception. Viola finished his career with 98 catches for 1,596 yards and nine touchdowns.
WR – Shawn Fowler, Jr., Brick Memorial
Another key member of an offense that averaged 33.2 points per game, Fowler finished with 22 catches for 518 yards (23.5 ypc) and four touchdowns for the Class A South and Central Jersey Group 4 champions. He was a third-team All-Shore selection by SSI as a sophomore and enters his senior season with 38 career catches for 918 yards and 7 touchdowns.
WR – C.J. Yates, Jr., Central
A versatile star for a team that finished 8-2, Yates finished with 34 catches for 511 yards and 3 touchdowns while also running for three touchdowns and taking back three interceptions for touchdowns on defense to earn All-Class B South honors from the coaches.
WR – Chris Raub, Jr., Southern
Raub was the top receiver for the Class B South champs and South Jersey Group 5 semifinalists with 33 catches for 641 yards and six touchdowns to earn All-Division honors.
TE – Joe Livio, Jr., Brick Memorial
The junior was a key part of one of the Shore Conference’s top offenses with 18 catches for 356 yards and 4 touchdowns to earn All-Class A South honors from the coaches for the Central Jersey Group 4 champs.
OL – Carter Smith, Jr., Donovan Catholic
An All-Class A South first-team pick by the coaches, the 5-foot-10, 305-pound Smith helped the Griffins capture a share of the division title.
OL – Jayden Cox, Sr., Shore
An All-Class C North pick by the coaches, the 6-foot-4, 250-pound Cox helped pave the way for more than 2,300 yards rushing and 34 touchdowns for a Blue Devils team that averaged 31.5 points per game and produced 1,600-yard rusher Cole Torres.
OL – Liam Opatosky, Sr., Manasquan
Opatosky was a first-team All-Class C North pick by the coaches after helping produce 1,000-yard rusher Ace Etienne for a team that won a share of the Class C North title and reached the sectional semifinals.
OL – Joe Spina, Sr., Southern
The top offensive lineman for the Rams, Spina was named All-Class B South by the coaches for a team that won the division title and finished 9-2 while averaging 28.5 points per game.
OL – Joe Petriello, Sr., Manalapan
The All-Class B North pick by the coaches helped the Braves reach the Central Jersey Group 4 semifinals while averaging 28.4 points per game.
UT – Nick Palmieri, Jr., Manalapan
A two-way standout for the Central Jersey Group 4 semifinalists, Palmieri ran for a team-high 693 yards and 6 touchdowns and finished with a team-high 81.5 tackles, 7 for a loss, at linebacker to earn All-Class B North honors. He was also a third-team All-Shore pick as a sophomore.
UT – Ryder Izzo, Jr., Rumson-Fair Haven
A two-way star for the Bulldogs, Izzo was an All-Class A North pick by the coaches after running for 909 yards and 9 touchdowns and finishing with 32 tackles and four fumble recoveries at linebacker. He also ran for a single-game school-record 344 yards in a win over Middletown North.
K – Cole Celeste, Jr., Southern
Named to the All-Class B South team by the coaches, Celeste hit two field goals, including a 45-yarder that was the longest field goal in the Shore Conference this season. He also went 22-for-22 on extra points and averaged 40 yards per punt.
Defense
DL – Jason Madden, Jr., Donovan Catholic
Madden was a breakout star for the Griffins as he compiled 80 total tackles, seven sacks, and 13 tackles for a loss. He was named a first-team All-Class A South selection by the coaches and helped lead the Griffins to a share of the division title.
DL – Toby Najenson, Sr., Rumson-Fair Haven
The Bulldogs’ defensive end finished with 64.5 tackles, 8 tackles for a loss, 4 sacks and 3 forced fumbles in being selected All-Class A North by the coaches.
DL – Jaxon Pacheco, Jr., Brick Memorial
Pacheco was a disruptive force in the middle for the Mustangs responsible for splitting double teams in addition to producing 41 total tackles, seven sacks, and five tackles for a loss on the interior. He was named a first-team All-Class A South selection by the coaches as he helped lead the Mustangs to the Central Jersey Group 4 title and a share of a division title.
DL – Bennett Lopez, Sr., Red Bank
Lopez was a matchup nightmare on the edge in Red Bank’s 3-4 defensive alignment, registering 60 total tackles, 8.5 sacks, and 19 tackles for a loss in addition to two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He was named the co-Defensive Player of the Year in Class C North by the coaches after helping lead the Bucs to a share of a division title. Lopez holds an offer from Bucknell.
DL – Elijah Reeder, Sr., Central
The All-Class B South pick had 49 tackles, 15 for a loss, and 8 sacks at defensive end for the Golden Eagles. He has offers from New Haven, Monmouth University and Bryant University.
LB – Kade Little, Jr., Middletown North
Little was the field general for the Lions’ defense, producing 100 total tackles, two sacks, and a game-clinching interception returned for a touchdown in the Central Jersey Group 4 quarterfinals against rival Middletown South. Little was named a first-team All-Class A North selection by the coaches.
LB – Gus Copes, So., Central
Copes was a tackling machine for the Golden Eagles, registering 133 total tackles, 23 tackles for a loss, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. He was named the Class B South Co-Defensive Player of the Year by the coaches.
LB – Mike Pappas, Sr., Brick Memorial
Pappas followed up a solid junior season with a tremendous senior season in which he compiled 109 total tackles, four sacks, three interceptions, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. He was named a first-team All-Class A South selection by the coaches.
LB – Luke Scaturro, Jr., Red Bank Catholic
Scaturro finished with 74 tackles, two sacks, 10 tackles for a loss, and an interception that was returned for a touchdown for the top-ranked Caseys and was named a first-team All-Class A North selection by the coaches.
LB – Peter Berardi, Sr., Holmdel
Berardi led Holmdel with 125 tackles, six sacks, nine tackles for a loss, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery that he returned for a touchdown. He was named a first-team All-Class A North selection by the coaches as he helped lead the Hornets to the Central Jersey Group 3 title, the first in program history.
DB – Jael Hester, Jr., Donovan Catholic
Hester posted 87 tackles, including six tackles for a loss, and was strong in coverage. He was named a first-team All-Class A South selection by the coaches.
DB – DJ Corsaro, Sr., Manalapan
Corsaro always seemed to be around the ball as he came away with four interceptions and posted 55 tackles from his safety position. Also a weapon on offense, Corsaro had seven receptions for 219 yards and two touchdowns in the passing game. He was named a first-team All-Class B North selection by the coaches.
DB – Justin Rosato, Jr., Middletown South
Rosato had 75 tackles, 8 for a loss, 3 sacks, and 5 interceptions, while also running for 956 yards and 9 touchdowns on his way to earning All-Class A North honors from the coaches.
DB – Kieran McGonnell, Jr., Red Bank Catholic
McGonnell had 69 tackles, two interceptions and four tackles for a loss in the secondary for the Shore Conference’s top-ranked team. He was named a first-team All-Class A North selection by the coaches.
UT – Matt Scheinman, Jr., Holmdel
Scheinman was a strong two-way performer for the Hornets as he finished with 77 tackles, a sack, five tackles for a loss, a forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries on defense in addition to 328 rushing yards, 278 receiving yards, and seven total touchdowns on offense. He was named a first-team All-Class A North selection by the coaches as he helped the Hornets capture the Central Jersey Group 3 title.
UT – Ethan Fogelstrom, Jr., Manalapan
Fogelstrom compiled 67 total tackles, three sacks, eight tackles for a loss, and an interception at linebacker for the Braves. Offensively, he recorded six receptions for 134 yards and a touchdown in addition to a rushing touchdown and four two-point conversions as a tight end. Fogelstrom was named a first-team All-Class B North selection by the coaches.
P – Drew Cavise, Sr., Rumson-Fair Haven
The Bulldogs’ senior averaged 30 yards per punt with a long of 51 yards and 10 punts landing inside the opposing 20-yard line and four inside the opposing 5-yard line on 26 punts. As a kicker, he hit three field goals with a long of 28 in addition to going 28-for-31 on his extra points. Cavise was named a first-team All-Class A North selection by the coaches.
