SSI Football Podcast to Kick Off 2026 Season on Monday at Meadow 28

The Shore Sports Insider Football Podcast is back for the 2026 season with a new weekly recording at Meadow 28 in Farmingdale.

The weekly podcast will feature Shore Sports Insider’s Dan Yeserski and Dave Smith discussing the latest from around Shore Conference football, along with special guests from throughout the Shore.

The first recording will take place Monday, Aug. 24 at 6:30 p.m. and will feature guests from two teams preparing to square off in one of Week 0’s marquee matchups.

Wall head coach Ed Gurrieri and senior quarterback/defensive back Franny Scaramellino will represent the Crimson Knights, while Brick Memorial head coach James Mahoney and senior offensive lineman/defensive lineman Jaxon Pacheco will join the show for the Mustangs ahead of Friday night’s showdown between the two teams.

Meadow 28’s Sean McPherson, the General Manager at Spring Meadow Golf Club, will also join the show as a special guest.

The Brick Memorial-Wall matchup is a rematch of last year’s season opener, when Brick Memorial defeated Wall, 35-7. Both programs enter 2026 replacing several standout players from last season, setting the stage for an intriguing early test as they begin the new campaign.

Scaramellino will be on the field this time after missing the first four games of last season due to the NJSIAA transfer rule. He returned to become a standout in Wall’s secondary and will take on an even larger role as a senior, moving back to quarterback while continuing to play defense.

Pacheco anchors a Brick Memorial offensive and defensive front that will be counted on heavily following the graduation of several of the Mustangs’ top playmakers. He is one of three All-Shore returners up front alongside Jaxon Ellis and Joe Livio.
