Week 3 Dick’s House of Sport Football Player of the Week Poll
Welcome to the Week 3 edition of the Shore Conference Football Player of the Week Poll, presented by Dick’s House of Sport.
Each week, Shore Sports Insider will highlight some of the top individual performances from around the Shore Conference and give readers the chance to decide who deserves to be named Shore Conference Football Player of the Week.
Nominees are selected based on statistics and information submitted by coaches or designated team representatives to Shore Sports Insider or entered on the distribution list by noon on Sunday. Only players from teams that won that week are eligible for consideration, and a maximum of one player per team can be nominated. Players who have previously won the Shore Conference Football Player of the Week Poll are not eligible to win the award again during the season.
Check out this week’s nominees and their standout performances below, then cast your vote for the player you think should take home the award. The winner will receive a $50 gift card to Dick’s House of Sport.
Voting for the Week 3 poll closes Tuesday at noon. Users are limited to one vote per hour. The winner will be announced Wednesday.

Joey Berardi, Sr., LB, Holmdel
Berardi was a force on defense, recording three sacks and 10 total tackles to help lead the Hornets to a 28-14 victory over crosstown rival St. John Vianney.
Eric Berg, Sr., SB, Raritan
Berg made an impact in multiple ways, rushing for 74 yards and two touchdowns, hauling in a 37-yard reception and breaking off a 62-yard kickoff return in the Rockets’ 20-15 victory over Red Bank.
John Bertan, Sr., WR, Howell
Bertan provided a big-play spark for the Rebels, turning three receptions into 138 yards and a touchdown in a 38-22 victory over Neptune.
Jake Bickerton, Sr., RB, Red Bank Catholic
Bickerton found the end zone three times on the ground, helping power the Caseys to a 45-23 victory over Manalapan.
Taurian Black, Jr., RB, Keansburg
Black powered the Titans’ ground attack with 180 rushing yards and four touchdowns in a dominant 45-6 victory over Lakewood.
Nick Dimino, Sr., QB/DB Marlboro
Dimino made plays with both his arm and his legs, throwing for 147 yards while rushing for 82 yards and two touchdowns in the Mustangs’ 34-24 victory over Ocean. He also made seven tackles, including one for a toss.
NaShad Fields, Jr., DB, Monmouth
Fields made an impact on defense and special teams, intercepting a pass and returning a kickoff 52 yards for a touchdown in the Falcons’ 49-7 victory over Long Branch.
Levi Foote, Sr., RB/DL, Southern
Foote broke multiple tackles on a highlight-reel 65-yard touchdown run, in addition to recording seven tackles, including two for a loss, helping the Rams hold off Point Boro for a 21-14 victory.
Rowan Foy, Sr., QB/LB, Brick
Making his debut at quarterback, Foy rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns, in addition to racking up 12 tackles and a forced fumble in the Dragons’ 14-7 victory over Central.
Jeffrey Hare, Sr., DB, Toms River South
Hare anchored the Indians’ defense with eight total tackles, including a sack and a tackle for loss, as Toms River South outlasted rival Toms River East 19-13 in double overtime.
Chancellor Joseph, So., WR/DB, Barnegat
Joseph delivered two explosive touchdowns, hauling in a 60-yard scoring reception and taking a punt 42 yards to the end zone in the Bengals’ 55-6 victory over Manchester.
Dakota Lasater, Sr., QB/DB, Freehold Township
Lasater did it all in the Patriots’ 27-24 victory over Matawan, throwing for 354 yards and three touchdowns, rushing for 100 yards and another score, forcing a fumble and sealing the win with an interception in the end zone.
Mike Lombardi, So., RB/LB, Colts Neck
Lombardi found the end zone on both sides of the ball, returning an interception for a touchdown and adding a rushing score in the Cougars’ 36-6 victory over Asbury Park.
Danny Neal, Sr., RB/LB, Point Beach
Neal made his presence felt on both sides of the ball, rushing for 101 yards and a touchdown while adding an interception and a fumble recovery on defense in the Garnet Gulls’ 29-6 victory over Keyport.
AJ O’Brien, Sr., DB, Pinelands
O’Brien helped spearhead a dominant defensive effort, recording six total tackles, a sack and an interception as the Wildcats shut out Lacey 13-0.
MJ Parulis, Sr., DB, Middletown North
Parulis came through with two clutch plays in the fourth quarter, blocking a punt that was recovered by a teammate for the go-ahead touchdown before sealing the Lions’ 21-14 victory over Manasquan with an interception.
Justin Rosato, Sr., RB/DB, Middletown South
Rosato contributed on both sides of the ball, rushing for 124 yards and two touchdowns while adding a sack, forced fumble, interception and three tackles on defense.
Colin Schoellkopf, Sr., RB/LB, Brick Memorial
Schoellkopf carried the load for the Mustangs, rushing for 149 yards and two touchdowns, along with making eight tackles to help knock off Toms River North.
Joe Snyder, Jr., WR, New Egypt
Snyder delivered a career-best performance, hauling in 12 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown as the Warriors survived Freehold Boro 27-26 in overtime.
Alex Staten, Sr. RB, Donovan Catholic
Staten powered his way into the end zone three times, helping the Griffins cruise to a 35-0 shutout victory over Jackson.
Brady Williams, Jr., QB, Rumson-Fair Haven
Williams earns another nomination after accounting for five touchdowns, throwing for 331 yards and three scores while rushing for 89 yards and two more touchdowns in the Bulldogs’ 35-13 victory over Wall.
