Brick Memorial 47, Toms River North 39

Junior Nyzier Matthews scored a game-high 12 points, including a pair of fourth-quarter three-pointers that turned a tie game into a six-point Brick Memorial lead, as the Mustangs (6-1) topped the Mariners (3-3).

Junior Sean Collins added 10 points, six rebounds and three steals, junior Jason Lajara chipped in nine points and seven rebounds, and senior Joe Witter pitched in eight points and seven rebounds for Brick Memorial, which won the fouth quarter, 20-12.

Senior Mekai Morse scored 10 points and classmate Sherrod Nelson netted eight to lead Toms River North.

Toms River East 36, Ocean 24

Freshman Brady Gillen and senior Mason Clinton each scored a game-high 11 points and the Raiders (2-5) won a defensive scrap over the Spartans (0-6). Junior Aidan Saint Louis led Ocean with nine points.
