Shore Conference Girls Basketball Scoreboard Friday, Jan. 24

Class A Central

No. 6 Howell 43, Wall 37

Howell jumped out to a 13-3 lead in the first quarter and held on to win their 12th game of the season. Senior Kiera McKown scored a game-high 17 points and BellaRose Marino added 10 points for the Rebels. Both Erynn Richey and Ashlyn Holobinko scored 10 points for Wall.

No. 4 Manasquan 72, Jackson Memorial 33

Manasquan held Jackson Memorial to 9 first half points and outscored them 22-5 in the first quarter to win their 12th game of the season. Junior Jordyn Hollawell scored a game-high 13 points and Shea Donnelly added 11 points for the Warriors. Julianna Old posted a double-double for the Jaguars, scoring 10 points and grabbing 13 rebounds.

 

Class A South

Manchester 57, Southern 51

The first quarter proved to be the different with Manchester outscoring Southern 14-8 to win their 8th game of the season. Sophomore Madeline Nolan scored a game-high 24 points  and had 6 steals to lead Manchester. Four players scored double-digits for Southern with Casey Collins leading the team with 17 points and Mackenzie Sininsky added 14 points.

Toms River East 58, Donovan Catholic 39

TRE had a quick start against division rival Donovan, outscoring the Griffins 14-4 to improve to 6-0 in Class A South. Senior Grace Crowley scored a career-high 21 points and Libby Dickman drained three 3-pointers to add 13 points for the Raiders. Kaylen Wright knocked down six 3-pointers to finish with a game-high 22 points for Donovan.

 

Class B Central

Point Boro 77, Jackson Liberty 14

Point Boro had 11 players score four or more points to improve to 6-0 in Class B Central. Senior Emily Marinelli lead the Panthers with 9 points and four players scored 8 points each.

Brick Memorial 58, Lakewood 10

Junior Liana Lopena scored a career-high 22 points to help the Mustangs win their 4th game of the season. Senior Maggie Leach added 10 points, giving her double-digits for the fourth straight game.

Point Beach 48, New Egypt 33

 

Class B South

Lacey 49, Brick Township 46

Trailing 25-10 at halftime, Lacey turned it around in the second half and outscored Brick Township 25-14 in the 4th quarter to win their 8th game of the season.
