Shore Conference Girls Basketball Scoreboard Tuesday, Feb. 4

Class A Central

Neptune 43, Jackson Memorial 33

Trailing at halftime, Neptune puts together a strong second half and closes out the game with a 15-5 fourth quarter to win their 8th game of the year. Freshman Tyeera Howard led the team with 11 points and Christa Ramos added 7 for Neptune. Freshman Kayla Matos scored a team-high 10 points for Jackson Memorial.

No. 4 St. Rose 62, Wall 26

St. Rose lead 13-5 after the first quarter and continued to build on it to win their 17th game of the season. Jada Lynch and Cassidy Kruesi both scored 14 points to lead St. Rose.

No. 1 Manasquan 58, No. 6 Howell 40

Trailing by two points at halftime, Manasquan outscored Howell 18-4 in the third quarter and held the Rebels to just 8 points in the second half to win their 16th game of the season. Senior Kayden Clark continues her surge with a team-high 15 points and Shea Donnelly added 10 points for the Warriors. Kiera McKown scored a game-high 18 points for Howell.

 

Class A Coastal

No. 2 Red Bank Catholic 65, Holmdel 23

RBC held Holmdel to just two points in the first quarter to take a 17-2 lead and closed the game out by outscoring the Hornets 22-7 in the fourth quarter to win their 18th game of the season. Junior Addy Nyemcheck became the second player in Casey history to reach the 1,000 point milestone before her senior year, joining Kristina Danella. Senior Tessa Carmen scored a team-high 12 points for RBC. Senior Mackenzie Teevan scored a game-high 16 points for Holmdel.

No. 9 Rumson-Fair Haven 43, No. 5 Red Bank Regional 34

Rumson built an 11 point lead going into the fourth quarter and held RBR to just 10 points to close out the game and big up one of their biggest wins of the season. Junior Erin Reid hit four 3-pointers to finish with a game-high 19 points and Grace Smith added 10 points for the Bulldogs.

No. 3 St. John Vianney 69, Middletown South 29

The Lancers outscored Middletown South 42-14 in the first half to win their 18th game of the season. Senior Brooklyn Taylor and Taylor Sofilkanich both scored 11 points to lead SJV and Aleena Dinker and Madison Kocis both added 9 points in a balanced attack.

 

Class A South

Manchester 66, Toms River North 50

Leading by two points at halftime, Manchester outscored TRN 33-19 in the second half to win their 12th game of the season. Four players scored double-digits for the Hawks with Madeline Nolan scoring a game-high 18 points and Jesse Sarana adding 17 points. Savannah Jackson and Marisiya Goins both scored 11 points for Manchester. Senior Kiera Blum scored a career-high 17 points for TRN.

Central Regional 34, Donovan Catholic 33

Trailing by 1 point in the waning seconds, Junior Emma Christensen was fouled and converted on two free throws with just 4 seconds remaining to help Central Regional top Donovan Catholic on senior night.

 

Class B Central

Brick Memorial 58, Jackson Liberty 17

Junior Olivia Emanuel led the team with 13 points for the second straight game to lead the Mustangs to their 6th win of the season. Maggie Leach added 10 points and Liana Lopena scored 7 points for Brick Memorial.

No. 10 Point Boro 62,  New Egypt 31

 

Class A North

Asbury Park at Monmouth, 5:45 p.m.

 

Class B South

Lacey 44, Pinelands 12

Lacey kept Pinelands scoreless in the first quarter to win their 13th game of the season. Senior Reece Paget scored a game-high 12 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Marissa Flores added 9 points and Brooklyn Bell scored 6 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and blocked 3 shots for Lacey.

Barnegat 72, Toms River South 70

Trailing by five points at halftime, Barnegat battled back to win their 16th game of the season. Senior Zemirah Enalls posted career-highs in both points and rebounds with 38 points and 36 rebounds. Senior Riley Fitzpatrick knocked down three 3-pointers to finish with 20 points for Barnegat. Freshman Daniella Gordon knocked down four 3-pointers to finish with a career-high 22 points and Linsey Cribbin added 19 points for TRS.
