April 7 to 13
Nate Cummings, Sr., Midfield, Toms River East
-Tallied two goals and two assists in a 15-1 win over Red Bank Catholic to become Toms River East’s all-time points leader with 199. Cummings has 12 goals and 10 assists in five games this season and 109 goals and 90 assists for his career.
Connor Doel, Jr., Goalie, Manalapan
-Made 11 saves in a 5-4 overtime victory over Middletown North to reach 400 career saves and extend his own school record. He made 17 saves in a 9-8 loss to Middletown South and had 15 saves in a 6-3 loss to Barnegat.
Mickey McGovern, Jr., Defense, Ocean
-Flashed his offensive chops with eight goals and four assists during a 3-0 week for the Spartans, including a career-high five goals and two assists in a 12-7 win over Colts Neck. With 11 goals and five assists this season, McGovern has surpassed last season’s total of 15 points.
Brendan O’Brien, Sr., FOGO, Shore
-Reached 500 career face-off wins with an 11-for-16 performance in a 7-5 win over Southern. In a 10-4 win over Red Bank, O’Brien scored a goal and went 16-for-17 at the X. He is 79-for-108 on face-offs this season.
Matt Schneider, Sr., Midfield, Manasquan
-The Monmouth University signee continued his breakout season for the undefeated Warriors with 10 goals in three games. He had hat tricks in wins over Eastern and Southern and scored a career-high four goals in a 17-8 win over rival Wall.
Andrew Silvia, Sr., Midfield, Marlboro
-Scored eight goals, dished out eight assists, and won 38 of 47 face-offs during a 3-0 week for the Freedom Division-leading Mustangs. Siliva has a team-high 27 points and a 72 percent face-off percentage.
Corey Smith, Sr., Attack, Lacey
-Erupted for 15 points in two games, tallying three goals and five assists in a 1-9 win over Toms River South and posting three goals and four assists in a 13-9 victory over Colts Neck. Smith, who has produced back-to-back 60-goal seasons, has 18 goals and 18 assists through seven games.
Luke Tortorici, Sr., Midfield, Barnegat
After missing most of last season, Tortorici has been great for the Constitution Division-leading Bengals with 11 goals and nine assists in five games. The Bengals went 3-0 last week with notable wins over Manalapan and Brick Memorial, and the York College commit led the way with 10 goals and six assists.
Nick Turturro, Sr., Midfield, Howell
-Eclipsed the 100-point plateau for his career with four goals and one assist in a 13-4 win over Jackson Memorial. Earlier in the week, Turturro posted four goals and four assists in a win over Freehold Township.
Danny Varone, Fr., Midfield, CBA
-Scored twice, including the game-winning goal in double overtime when the Colts defeated rival Rumson-Fair Haven, 6-5, for a huge American Division victory. Varone also had a goal and an assist in a win over Wall and a goal in a win over Middletown South.
