Non-Divisional

No. 3 Central 1, St. John Vianney 0

The Golden Eagles (1-0) earned an opening day victory over the Lancers (0-2) on a goal from junior forward Brianna Daly off of a pass from junior Emma Boturla. Sophomore Addison Frulio recorded 4 saves in the shutout.

Raritan 5, Ocean 3

Raritan took a 3-2 lead into halftime and added two more goals to win their opening game 5-3. Sophomore Carina Szorosy scored a hat-trick in the first half for the Rockets and Ava Facendo had a goal and two assists. Erin Toppi scored two goals for the Spartans.

Middletown North 3,  Toms River North 0

Middletown North (2-0) scored all three goals in the first half to win their second game of the season. Charlie Brink scored the second goal and added an assist on the third goal to Ava Cordoma. Sofia Chaknis scored the games first goal for the Lions.

Matawan 4, Pinelands 0

Holmdel 5, Point Beach 1

Aylen Peters and Shayla Shah both scored two goals to lead Holmdel (2-0) to their second win of the season. Joey Colantoni added a goal and had an assist and Peters added an assist.

Freehold Boro 2, Barnegat 1

The Colonials (2-1) handed the Bengals (3-1) their first loss of the season behind goals from junior forward Gabriella Baralus and freshman Mandi Guo. Senior Casey Xavier found Baralus on her first half goal. Senior midfielder Abigail Atkinson found Guo on her second half goal. Junior goalie Makayla Koltunicki recorded 5 saves in the win.

Junior Avery Jastrzebski scored the lone goal for the Bengals.

Marlboro 6, Brick Township 0

Marlboro (1-0) scored three goals in each half to win their opening game of the season. Mia Ortizio scored a hat-trick and both Samantha Arntz and Emily Coniglio had a goal and an assist for the Mustangs. Junior Jordyn Bauer earned the victory and the shutout for Marboro.

No. 7 Howell 3,  Southern 1

Sophomore Isabella Farinick scored two second half goals to lead the Rebels (1-0) past the Rams (0-1). Junior forward Makenzie Memmolo got the scoring going in the first half on an unassisted goal. Southern’s sophomore midfielder Brinley Reynolds tied the game up in the second half on a pass from sophomore Isla Carvajal. Farinick’s first goal was assisted by freshman Alyssa Skierski while her second goal came on a pass from Memmolo. Senior goalie Leila Shaw recorded 4 saves in the victory.

Non-Conference

No. 6 Trinity Hall 5, Hightstown 0

Trinity Hall (1-0) scored four second half goals to win their opening game of the season in a non-conference game. Caroline Ferguson and Kailyn Fitzgerald both scored a goal and assisted on another for the Monarchs. Emily Venezia earns the victory in her first game back since her injury.

No. 9 Toms River South 3, Hopewell Valley 0

TRS (1-0-1) scored all three goals in the second half to pick up their first win of the season. Emma Turnbach, who scored the equalizer on opening night, had a goal and assist for the Indians. Junior Ava Knight also had a goal and an assist and Daniella Gordon scored the other goal. Reese Lindemann earned the victory and shutout in goal.

No. 4 Red Bank Catholic 4, Lawrence 0 

RBC (2-0) won their second game via shutout with a 4-0 non-conference win over Lawrence. Paige Foye and Molly Denver both scored two goals for the Caseys. Heidi Wierman posted her second straight shutout to start the season.

Colts Neck 2, Robbinsville 1

Junior Olivia Brown scored 2 second half goals to lead the Cougars (2-0) come-from-behind victory over the Ravens (0-1). Brown’s first goal was assisted by senior Celia Dostert while her second goal was assisted by junior Liz Buzzetta. Junior goalie Silvana Bartelli had 3 saves while sophomore goalie Katherine Collura notched 5 saves in the victory.
