Rumson-Fair Haven is beginning to hit its stride after winning seven of the last eight games, including three in the past week. The Bulldogs’ only loss in that time frame came against the state’s top-ranked team, Summit. The Bulldogs defeated Westfield 17-10, St. Joseph (Met.) 8-6, and Shore 18-3.

Luke Lydon has been the most consistent offensive option on the team with 59 points (32 G, 29 A). Jaden Cavise has been terrific at the face-off X with a 64% win percentage. Joseph Whitehouse has been strong all-around with 50 points (29 G, 21 A)

Upcoming: at No. 8 Wall, Bridgewater-Raritan, Moorestown

2. CBA (10–5) Last Week: 2

The Colts made it through the week completely unscathed with victories over Manasquan and Red Bank. CBA has an argument to reclaim the number one spot after Holmdel’s loss to Southern created more separation for the top two teams, but despite the one-goal head-to-head win over Rumson-Fair Haven, the Bulldogs have been a tad more consistent as of late, since the Colts dropped an extra game in the past two weeks.

Danny Varone is the team’s leading scorer with 38 points (30 G, 8 A). Christian Fox has been remarkably consistent with 32 points (16 G, 16 A). Jackson Chaney is just behind with 31 points (17 G, 14 A). Shayne Boresen has been strong in the net with 131 saves to 98 goals allowed against a top-tier schedule.

Upcoming: Hun, No. 7 Shore

3. Southern (11-3) Last Week: 4

Southern wasted no time reclaiming the third slot in the rankings, defeating Holmdel 6-5 behind a strong, defensive effort. The Rams lost to Ocean City 8-7 to end the week.

Kyle Sininsky has been an offensive weapon with 62 points (39 G, 23 A). Shea O’Donnell is not far behind with 52 points (36 G, 16 A). Nick Hughes has been a force in net, with 140 saves on 65 goals allowed.

Upcoming: No. 5 Red Bank, at Mainland

4. Holmdel (10–3) Last Week: 3

Holmdel slips one spot after a one-goal loss to Southern. The Hornets rebound later in the week with an 8-5 victory over Toms River East.

David Perrotti has been the most consistent scoring threat with 36 goals. Finnegan Buchan has been as good a passing threat as a scoring threat, with 58 points (32 G, 26 A). Jack Cannon’s field vision (35 A) has been a major asset to the Hornets.

Upcoming: No. 9 Manalapan, Barnegat, at No. 10 Middletown South

5. Red Bank (7-6) Last Week: 6

The next three spots remain interchangeable, with the Bucs earning the nod this week after a one-goal win over Toms River East coupled with a competitive showing against CBA in a 10-4 loss. Also working in Red Bank’s favor is the Bucs’ better divisional and overall records than those of the two teams below them.

Justin Valentino continues to have a banner year with 64 points (38 G, 26 A). Nate Pelensky has been strong all-around with 29 points (18 G, 11 A) and a team-leading 30 ground balls.

Upcoming: at Middletown North, at No. 3 Southern, at St. Peter’s Prep

6. Manasquan (5-5) Last Week: 7

Manasquan rebounded from a loss to CBA earlier in the week with a 17-7 win over Monroe. The Warriors have lost to every team in the top five, but hold wins over everyone else on their schedule, including Shore, which is directly behind them.

Jack O’Reilly has a team-leading 26 points (18 G, 8 A). Dax Klein has emerged as a consistent offensive weapon with 21 points (15 G, 6 A).

Upcoming: at Toms River East, at No. 8 Wall

7. Shore (5-5) Last Week: 5

The Blue Devils split a pair of games this past week, edging Wall 7-6 before losing 18-3 to Rumson-Fair Haven. Shore has a reasonable argument to be ranked 5th or 6th due to splitting their games with Red Bank and Manasquan, but losses in two of the past three games have knocked them down two slots.

Cole Torres has been effective at the face-off X, winning 50 of 80. Reid Spallone has compiled 18 goals and 16 assists.

Upcoming: Peddie, at No. 2 CBA

8. Wall (6-8) Last Week: 8

Wall is starting to round into form, even with some frustratingly close losses, including a 7-6 defeat against Shore this past week. The Crimson Knights rebounded with a 10-9 win over a good Cherokee team.

Patrick Freud has had a strong year with 53 points (29 G, 23 A). Wyatt Capro remains a talented scoring threat with 29 goals.

Upcoming: No. 1 Rumson-Fair Haven, No. 6 Manasquan

9. Manalapan (8-2) Last Week: No. 9

Manalapan responded well after a heartbreaking one-goal loss against Red Bank. The Braves finished the week 2-0 with an 8-4 win over Brick Memorial and a 17-7 win over Howell, clinching the Colonial Division in the process.

Ryan Seybuck has compiled 18 goals and 14 assists. Connor Doel continues to perform well in goal with 118 saves to 55 goals allowed.

Upcoming: at No. 4 Holmdel, at St. Joseph (Met.), Freehold Township

10. Middletown South (8-4) Last Week: 10

Middletown South has quietly put together a 4-game winning streak, including two wins this past week against rival Middletown North and Barnegat. The Eagles have only three losses to Shore Conference opponents this season, including the one-goal overtime loss to Manalapan that ultimately decided the division title.

Jackson O’Keefe leads the Eagles in points with 58 (38 G, 20 A). Luke Gaffney has 55 points (39 G, 16 A). Forrest Black is putting together an outstanding freshman campaign with 41 points (36 G, 5 A).
